In fact, he's incredibly underweight and should be something much heavier than he actually is. Unhealthily skinny, if he were to lift up his shirt it'd show small noticeable details of a rib cage-- in fact, this is the whole reason why he's not allowed to go on Tostestrone or get surgery. He sports a female body, which is often covered up by the way he dresses and designs his overall appearance, and looks like a young male to those on the outside. His hair is naturally a platinum blond color, with his red eyes being a result of albinism in his genes. To those who don't know him personally, he comes across as just a peppy kid with too much free time on his hands. In fact, the way he behaves outwardly is incredibly innocent and kind, almost like he couldn't even think of hurting a fly. He doesn't allow his true personality to show publicly, however, as he'd prefer not to have any questions directed towards him because of his behavior. Kaoru is an actor, after all, and prone to pathological lying. He's a very intelligent person, and as a result can easily turn things around and manipulate someone, despite his far more antagonistic nature. He has very high confidence in himself, almost to the point of exaggerating his own capabilities, yet the way he behaves when acting also really annoys him. He's not a social person at all and prefers to not speak unless spoken to, even still he answers things in a short manner. As a result, a lot of them were given away as a result of paying off financial dept that they had dug a gigantic hole into. At the age of 5, Kaoru was one of those children to be adopted out for dept payment. His adopted mother didn't care about him at all, as much as he was like a puppy and tried to play up to her, get love from her, none of it came. He would frequently be branded as a monster because of his snake quirk and neglected and forbidden from eating as a result. His mother, after all, though he'd eat the house if he were to eat anything, resulting in him having to fend for himself and sneak anything into his room in order to survive. Years of abuse was the result. Eventually, it morphed the young child into something sinister, something that would've been Kagome's demise had she actually went into his room that night to kill him. The neighbors eventually called the cops over noises of a child crying, and the kid that lived there becoming the bane of every teacher's existence at school for handing out cheat sheets for tests and quizzes. After all, he was an extremely intelligent child with good potential. It resulted in his adoptive mother's arrest, and he was placed into orphan care. That was, until he was adopted out again by a scientist looking for an apprentice, who raised him and tried to help him out with the ongoing problems developed through PTSD, as well as the one he had developed that his mother was certainly no help for, allowing him into a therapist. A therapist who he still sees, even after moving out to live on his own. the Quirk 🐍 Snake 🐍 ⇒ Snoot Boops & Nope Ropes ⇐ 🌸 quirk's rank • VIII 🌸 quirk's tier • I 🌸 quirk's type • mutation 🌸 quirk description • Kaoru can do anything that snake is capable of, as long as his physical body is capable of doing it. That's... pretty much it. 🌸 quirk limitation • Kaoru is capable of doing anything a snake can, provided it's within reason. He naturally has thicker skin than any human, similar to a scaleless snake has, however he does have scales on certain parts of his body. From the back of his neck down to his spine has pure white scales, as well as his lower stomach, around the sides of his neck and down his shoulders and thighs. These scales are 'dermal', in the sense that they provide protection to him, and are about as tough as typical snake scales are-- which is tougher than calloused human skin. His agility is far greater than a normal human's, with a greater form of flexibility that can only be compared to being double jointed. He can detach his jaw on a whim without feeling any pain, as well as reattach it just as easily, giving him the ability to extend it to the point of uncanny valley. As a result, he can also give an incredibly hard bite and lock his jaw in place, making it extremely hard to remove him once he's latched on. His smell and strength have also increased, with his tongue being pointed he is able to use it to smell the air just like a snake would. It is also thinner and longer. His swimming is faster, and what normally would be canine teeth are hollow snake-like fangs capable of secreting or shooting venom from his own poison pouch hidden in his mouth. Those who have been inflicted by his poison will have it last for 5 turns before it cures itself, while the effects of the poison causes cells to rapidly deteriate, making them continue to bleed out from the wound. It also causes swelling around the area, as well as shuts down the metabolism temporarily. 🌸 quirk weakness • As Kaoru is cold blooded, he will slow down if his own body heat is not regulated externally (basically if he gets too cold). If subjected with cold (such as an ice related quirk), he will be slowed down and very sluggish for the next 4 posts. He cannot do anything that his body is physically incapable of doing, regardless if its snake like or not, such as coiling around someone, constriction-- you get the picture.
