[break][break]what she can often be seen doing is either snacking on some sweets or doodling something down, what she does lack in smarts she makes up for in creativity as shown by her cutesy drawings and actions when it comes down to tough moments. you might think she’s not a person tailored to be a hero but she has had some prior training from her mother who was famous overseas so it not like she doesn’t know what she getting into. speaking of her mother, as she’s an otaku gamer some of that has rubbed onto her daughter whom would sometimes say rpg-like phrases when talking. [break][break]samantha was born out of a complex relationship; it wouldn’t be a leap to consider that her parents hadn’t quite expected a child. her biological mother and father were in a relationship that you could consider to be known as “friends with benefits”, as her mother had only learned of a pregnancy once she was deep into it, enough to feel attached to the life inside her to not let the idea of abortion cross her mind. her father allowed the mother to keep custody but out of guilt a sense of guilt would sometimes visit. [break][break]due to the situation between her parents the only person that was close to sammy was her mother, not knowing her dad too much to make much of an attachment to him. she was a hero, one that was quite famous in wales and samantha took pride in knowing that her mother was someone that everyone loved. when the young girl got into school you could be sure that all the other kids flocked to her wanting to be friends with the hero’s daughter. while she had many friends, she didn’t have friends that were with her because they simply liked her. something that she came to learn would have its negatives later on. [break][break]and then the tragedy came, a slip up with her mother’s quirk on the job and the unfortunate result of it was a loss of many lives, lives that wouldn’t had been harmed hadn’t her mother not been there at all. this had caused the woman’s fame to plummet and instead of the girl finding out about her mother’s mistake from her telling samantha herself, she learned about it from the fact that all of her friends distanced themselves and looked at her with a sense of scorn. you see, the problem with being a hero is that no matter how many people you save, if you make one slip up you’ll be always remembered by that tragedy that happened. it just was unfortunate that this bad reputation was also placed upon samantha as well. [break][break]running away from her problems, her mother chose the rash decision to move to japan instead of staying in wales. she said it was due to the fact that she found new opportunities here but even samantha could tell that her mother wanted to hide away in the furthest corner of the world. her mom changed, not being that person that she looked up to but a shell of her former self, tucked away at home all the time and indulging herself in games to take her mind off her troubles and naturally this affected samantha negatively as well. [break][break]there were trust issues when she went to school, desperately trying to make friends yet not ever fully trusting a person, perhaps afraid of a repeat at her last school. her mind was also in a bad place, something that took a lot of time to get over. it was only when she had decided to make a change over a phone call with her father that things took a bit of a more positive turn. knowing that things won’t get better by doing nothing she sought out to grasp hold of the dream that she held as a kid. to be a hero just like her mother, it was only a coincidence that the fastest road to that seemed to attend one of the renowned hero schools in japan and u.a happened to be the one that she picked. [break][break]an object that is turned into a card has a picture of it at the front, while at the back there’s a number which changes to be the number of object she’s currently turned to cards. this means this number will increase or decrease depending on whether she’s turning something into a card or turning it back to normal. [break][break]♦♣♥♠ quirk limitation • for an item to turn into a card there needs to be two conditions met. the first is that the object that she’s turning into a card isn’t a living being. this includes people, animals and plants but if they’re dead they can be turned into a card. the second is that she has to touch them with her bare hands. if her hands are covered in any way whatsoever, the thing covering her hand would be what is turned into a card. since the cards return a majority of their properties apart from size and weight, it is possible for her to use them as weapons or in various creative ways [break][break]the amount of objects she can turn into cards at once at this current time seems to be five, turning anything else after that number seems to change one of her cards randomly back into its original form. this number seems to be something that she can improve on as when her quirk manifested she could only turn one item into a card at that time meaning there’s more room for improvement in the future. [break][break]for the restriction of size, she seems to be able to turn anything from a size of a standard car ( 15 feet / 4 meters ) into a car, with her quirk seeming to not be able to work on anything bigger than that for now. [break][break]♦♣♥♠ quirk weakness • the biggest weakness would be the range of her quirk; the need to touch something means that she has to get physically close to the item. not to mention that she has to utilize her hands, anything that would be binding her would essentially prevent her from using her quirk or in a grimmer situation where she would lose her hands she would be the same as a quirk-less individual. [break][break]the fact that cards share the same properties as their ordinary object means that there are some cards that are dangerous for her to physically hold as turning something like fire into a card would mean that the card would be just as hot as those flames. it doesn’t mean that she can’t do it, but logically it would be best not to unless wanting to risk harm.
