i never told a lie, and that makes me a liar. ❝ The sound of laughter and cheering began to fill the air as Umeko strolled closer to the convention hall. It was early in the morning, not cold enough to be bundled up but not exactly warm enough to wear shorts and a tank-top. For ease and comfort, the brunette had woken up this morning and hurriedly thrown on the first clean thing that she could find: a loose-fitting black shirt that bore the logo of Pro-Hero (and her teacher!) Snapshot, and a pair of black sweatpants that fit snugly around her ankles. Combined with white sneakers, she wasn't exactly the most fashionable of people out and about right now, but hey. At least they passed the smell test. Comfort over quality. Quality over comfort? What was that saying again... Quantity over quality? The smell of street food had admittedly, enticed Umeko away from her task at hand. Somehow, she had agreed to meet up with a student from Shiketsu for a Hero Convention. Yumiko. Long green hair, kinda cute... damn, how did she even manage to make a friend from that school this fast? Not that she wanted to be friends or anything. After all, she figured that Olive bitch would be telling her classmates all about her... That's what Umeko was doing. Sometimes. She stood absentmindedly at a booth, watching a rugged-looking man as he began to deep-fry takoyaki. Not wanting to give into temptation, and not wanting to face the reality that she had spent the rest of her money on the ride here, Umeko slipped away with a sigh. The crowd, and the noise, continued to grow the closer she got to the convention, and more and more civilians dressed as their favorite heroes were popping up out of nowhere. A sudden influx of people made her a bit nervous, so she took to slipping into an alleyway momentarily to get her bearings. Umeko clicked her tongue as she pulled out her phone, taking this as an opportunity to go back into the chat and scroll until she found Yumiko's selfie. She didn't save it. That would be creepy. Going over the important, distinguishable features, she wracked her memory. Green hair, golden eyes.... had she seen anyone that looked like that on the way here? Nah... not that she could remember. Guess it didn't help that Umeko never sent a picture of herself either, so Yumiko had no idea what she was looking for. If Yumiko even showed up. It would be a real waste if she didn't. After all, that was the last of her birthday money saved up and Umeko didn't feel like going home just yet. But this wasn't exactly her kind of scene. Umeko scowled, locking her phone and shoving it into the waistband of her sweatpants. No use in standing around moping about it. She had to willingly go out and find a Shiketsu student. With a deep breath, she took a step back into the crowd. Time to focus, and find her target.

[nospaces] "Amazing amazing!" The voice of a young woman called out from a large crowd that had been wandering through the convention center before a young teenager squeezed her way out before scrambling over to a man clad in full black hero gear. From the expression on her face, it was obvious what she was after. "That's amazing! What's it made of? What's your name? Can I get a picture!?" As soon as she caught up with the man she bombarded him with questions, not even waiting for the man to respond before she had her phone out, already in camera mode. [break][break] This girl had bright green hair held down by a white and blue hat while flowing calmly down her backside with bright golden eyes that seemed to sparkle with delight each time she looked a different direction; her smile was twisted into an ecstatic grin. It was obvious she was having the time of her life. Just as she was in the picture she had sent her friend, she wore her white and blue sweater styled like it would be for a baseball team that she was not a part of. On her feet, she wore tall white boots with white straps to help tighten them around her legs; such boots were normal fashion sense but what wasn't was the fact that it was obvious the girl had nothing but undergarments below the jacket and boots; instead of pants she opted for a skintight bodysuit, which was colored a light, bright pink; the bodysuit was almost the same color as her skin. [break][break] "W-whoa lady w-wai-" The man had started to respond but before he was able to finish, with the sound of a click a bright flash filled his view. Blinded momentarily, he began to open his eyes and the girl was gone. Panicking, the man started looking around but the crowds were too full. [break][break] What had just happened, was one of Yumiko's 'ambushes' that she does to people in conventions. Most men in cosplay, at least, that she knew, were often shocked by the appearance of a nearly nude woman and required a moment to process what was happening. Add in a bombardment of questions, and you would throw their mind into utter chaos, the perfect time to snap a picture with full flash active. There was a downside to this tactic... and that was simply that the people she took pictures of weren't in full proper heroic poses; most of them were in utter panic. It was perfect. [break][break] Wandering with another crowd toward one of the drink vending machines that were set up throughout the entire complex, she mused over her collection of shocked, handsome, athletic men in cosplay. Oh, they were all gorgeous... but her escapades for the day made her thirsty beyond what she could handle. Drinks were in order, and that was where she was wandering to. Unfortunately for her, it was a long, long line; at least it felt that way to her. [break][break] Four minutes pass and it's finally her turn to get her drink. Sliding in a few 100 yen coins she selected the option for a milk tea; this specific brand was known for being exceptionally sweet, just how she wanted it. With a quick clink, the machine procured her drink, and just as fast as she heard the sound the drink had been deftly nabbed from the depths of the contraption. Only a few coins of yen were returned, which was just as she expected; none of these vending machines had perfect prices for the larger coins. [break][break] Now that she had her drink, she got out of all of the patient people's ways so they too could receive their drink, opting to stand about fifteen feet to the side next to a bench. She was out in the wide-open, anyone could see her from a long way away as she was not being protected by any nearby crowds. With a quick swig of the tea, she sighed. "I wonder if Umeko is near... I never got a picture of what she looked like..." The slight solemn look and sound the girl made shifted rapidly to a quick giggle, that turned into a laugh. "I'm not that hard to find, right?" A question meant for herself, but who knew if anyone was going to answer. [break]
