She got into U.A. top of her class through a scholarship and for the first couple of years at U.A. life was pretty good, she was top of her class there and managed to even obtain her Provisional Hero License. However, as she started to reach the end of her final year there she had one last challenge to overcome; her teacher Takeshi Kojima. Mr. Takeshi was a teacher that though innocent seeming on the outside was a bastard of a man. Masami's experiences with Takeshi started off rather calm, she was at first doing good then... her grades started to take a mysterious slow swerve downward. She wasn't sure why this was the case, it seemed like it was for no reason as she had been diligent in doing all of her work in a timely manner and she was topping the class records in hero training. However her teacher began to get... uncomfortable, eyeing her down from the distance. This began to make her feel more uncomfortable as time went on until it reached its peak near the end of her final school year where he called her to his room after school. Upon getting there she was told about her failing grades and she was even more confused by this as she had been doing all of her work diligently, however, he went on. Getting uncomfortably close to her and beginning to speak about a way that she could help to raise these grades to what they should be. Red flags went off in her head and as he began to reach for her she immediately went into fight mode and ended up hurting him relatively badly before she was apprehended by school security, expelled by her teacher, and sent to juvenile hall for defending herself. During her time in Juvenile hall she made connections with various vigilante and shady groups that knew of Takeshi Kojima's corrupt nature and made a deal with her. She goes and breaks into his house to find evidence for the police, and they gear her up so she can continue her hero career without a hero license and provide her with a trainer that can finish her pro-hero training just as well as U.A. She accepted this and on getting out of jail she went and broke into his house, found evidence of what he'd done in the past in the form of images on his computer, shot him straight through the spine, planted the pictures on him and all over his room, and left the house before the police arrived. Now, she's a vigilante who advocates for the end of the current corrupt pro hero system and though she has a brutal style she swears not to kill so as not to stoop to the level of the corrupt pros and more obviously the villains. the Quirk quirk's name • Rewired quirk's rank • VII quirk's tier • IV quirk's type • Mutation quirk description • Rewired is a quirk which alters the muscle and tendon structure of the body while also rewiring the brain to perceive details at a faster rate than usual for a variety of incredible effects. quirk limitation • Using the quirk the user can create their following effects: The user's mind allows the ability to perceive information at a faster rate, this allows them to pick up on very small details most people wouldn't blink at while also greatly increasing their reaction time to things that they can see. When focused in it is as if their own personal sense of time dilation slows down to give them a better chance at reacting to things. Due to this rewiring of the brain they tend to be a quick learner. The user's tendon and muscle structure is greatly altered across their body, this makes them more flexible than a normal human could ever hope to achieve giving them great feats of acrobatics and agility. The user with this mix of abilities can dodge and outpace objects moving faster than a rapid fire machine gun. It also grants them an amazing sense of balance and posture, allowing them to keep balance even if in an incredibly odd acrobatic position in a fight (see THIS gif for simple example!) The user's ligaments can pop in and out of place with no damage to the user so long as the user takes care to not contort their body so harshly as to cleanly tear the ligament that has been pulled out of socket. quirk weakness • The quirk does NOT give the user any sort of ability to predict attacks coming toward them, meaning if an attack catches them by surprise they are still vulnerable to it Damage to the muscles and tendons of the quirk user's body is very hard to heal by modern surgery, though possible it takes months of recovery and costs a lot of money for such operations, this means that severe damage to these things can put the user's abilities save to their perception out of commission for a long time if not permanently (2 threads recovery minimum, can be stretched further out on staff request or for user flavor) Too much time utilizing this enhanced sense of perception can cause frequent headaches and migraines.
