It was an average day at Shinjuku Ward, It was bustling and filled to the brim with people of all walks of life. One such life was a young Kato Hatsune, or as they will be known in the future, the Pro-hero Umbra Riot. But right now, right here, today, Kato was looking for something, in particular. Which is why they came all the way to Shinjuku to look for this thing secret thing that they would rather die then admitting to looking for, at least to their classmates, Kato really hoped none of them were here right now, or else there will be blood and hell to pay.

Kato’s casual wear was… interesting. They were wearing, a red sweater which was barely zipped up revealing their tight black undershirt, a pair of leather pants, a pair of red shoes, and most striking about his attire was their spiked dog like collar around their neck, all of that and with his constant scowl gave people enough warning not to fuck with them or else they’ll have to deal with their nasty attitude which can be seen before they even speaks, somehow.

Despite today being a day off from their intense training regiment, Kato was still stressed out about this task at hand, which was good, they get to keep their heart rate up even if they aren’t training hard-core, but they wished they had somebody to help them look for this thing, but besides from Alistair and Umeko, Kato isn’t close to anybody in their class, they were all but a I pariah in their own homeroom which was fine by Kato, that’s how its always been for them, no matter how long they could remember. It was just a state of their life, if they can’t change why even bother trying? But the few friends, Kato has, they will keep close to their side. Which is why they were here.

While deep in thought, Kato looked up from their phone and suddenly, something or rather somebody ran into them, she ran right into their chest. Kato blinked once, twice, thrice, before the oddly familiar light brown head of hair started recovering from hitting the solid mass that was their chest, and right after that a truly familiar blond young man emerged from the crowd and---”What the fuck?” was all Kato let out as he realized that the blond was their classmate Taka so that means this girl is, Seiki. What a small world, an awfully small world.

Taka had been dragged off yet again by the whims of his younger sister. Not that he minded, he enjoyed spending time with the precocious young woman-but that didn’t mean it wasn’t a work out now and then. He smiled ruefully to himself while he walked behind her, every step her hair color changed half a shade as if she was working her way through the color spectrum. It wasn’t far off, she’d been practicing ever since the day came that she had first manifested her quirk. Unlike himself who did his best not to use his abilities, she took every opportunity to do so. Seiko was insatiable when it came to learning, a trait the two of them shared, just with different subjects.

“You’re slowing us down Bird brain!” She shouted back at her older brother, picking her way through the crowded streets toward another store. Taka shoved his shovel-sized hands in his pockets, smiling away the remark and reference to his name. The two of them rounded a corner only for her to come to a complete stop with a tiny squeak of a grunt. She tumbled back and landed on her duff. Taka rushed behind her, coming to a stop over his sister and first checking to see if she was hurt before confronting whomever it was had cut her path off.

He paused, not believing or at least not wanting to believe who he saw there.

Then Kato cursed and Taka was forced to accept that yes, indeed, he was in the presence of the loudest person in class. The big student forced a smile, while he liked Kato, the guy made him kind of nervous at times. His short temper would be the endless source of conflict and maybe even fights in class if it weren’t for the constant appraisal of Alistair. It didn’t help that their philosophies on being a hero probably contrasted too. Taka chastised himself mentally. Kato was trying to be a hero too, he shouldn’t just sit there and judge the guy based on their first few encounters.

“Owwh…” Seiki grumbled, rubbing her head and looked up “Anybody get the number of that train that-“ she stared up at Kato and blanched, taking a deep breath. Taka knelt down and put a hand on her shoulder.

”It’s okay, this is Kato, he’s one of my classmates!” Taka offered, giving his best smile to his sister. The girl shifted a bit and leaned back.

“…wait… this guy? Oh yeah! I remember you from the cha-“ She blurted, stopping herself by putting a hand over her own mouth. Taka groaned and tapped her head to quiet her before inclining his head to Kato.

”Sorry about all that Kato. How are you doing?”

Yes. It really was Taka Yasashi. His soft hearted yet strong classmate of 1-A. Kato couldn’t understand him. Everything that Kato was taught by their mother didn’t apply to Taka yet he was powerful of both body and quirk despite his weak heart. Kato had mixed feelings about Taka. They wanted to be closer to them to see if maybe… no that’s not them. They can never be weak that’s not who they are. Not in any aspects. To be the strongest like they want they have to be the best at everything they do. No matter the cost. No matter what.

Kato started at the girl again for a moment then at Taka, Kato wondered if their parents looked very different. Because Kato cannot see the resemblance between them. But for once Kato kept their big mouth shut on the a topic. Kato wasn’t sure what to say or do right now. They really didn’t plan to meet up with anybody especially a person who probably groaned internally when they saw them. Kato isn’t oblivious to how most of their classmates view them. They didn’t care. Not really. That was their problem not theirs. Kato doesn’t have to deal with themselves. Others have to deal with them.

Taka spoke up first. Introducing them as Kato to his sister. Kato nodded in response with a cocky smile on their face as they say, ”FUCK YEAH ITS KATO !” Kato said with a very cocky grin as they rolled their head to one shoulder and then rolled their shoulders as if ready to brawl with anybody who says anything bad about them. Taka then asked how they were, which Kato gave an incredulous look at their classmate before shrugging and saying.”That’s none of your business Taka, but it could be business for your sister…whatever her name was again.” Kato said perhaps a little too callously. Kayo really needed a girl's help for this they don’t know they are looking for. It was a struggle. Kato has never given a person a gift before like this so this is all new to them.

Kato awkwardly scratches the back of their neck before sheepishly, by their standards, saying ”That might of came of as a bit rude, but I need to ask the both of you a favor, Taka my favor to you is you don’t tell anybody about this encounter, or else I scream every night outside your door until 2 am. And Seiki, I need you to help me find a gift for Ali….no you know what this fucking stupid… just ignore me and we can go back to barely knowing each other.” Kato suddenly became very huffy and annoyed when they almost brought up who they wanted to get the gift for. Kato hated being that open to people. Kato was considering walking off at this point.
