overall appearance • Mikko stands a few inches over six feet with deep brown fur covering his lupine body. He has teal eyes, canine ears, and a fluffy tail that usually hangs fairly limp behind him. He tends to wear his school uniform everywhere he goes, not having any preferred clothing outside of that attire. His most noticeable feature is the slightly larger canine skull that covers the top of his face and head. It has wind-like engravings on it and a few symbols that have only meaning for him, though his mask serves more like a protective helmet for a slow-healing wound on his head.

overall personality • Due to his upbringing in an abusive home, Mikko has strong anxiety and depression that tinges everything he feels to dull them, unless it's a negative emotion then it amplifies them. He had no friends where he lived so socially he's awkward when he actually tries. In his darkest times he tries to be by himself out in what wilderness he can find, though after a recent event in his life he tries to stay away from places will tall drops. He desperately wants to connect with another, even find love to know what it feels like, but is so afraid of being hurt again that he shies away from most attempts. While his father is a therapist and is trying to help him, the wounds run deep and, like the fractured part of his skull, will take a long time to fully heal, if ever.

Mikko's parents were high school sweethearts who tied the knot soon after their graduation. Lezard's quirk was a simple Mutation, turning him into an anthropomorphic wolf, which his humanoid wife had seen past at the time to love him for who he was. She continued on to become a Pro Hero with her own quirk, able to turn her emotional strength into physical strength, and as her fame grew she began to drift apart from her childhood love. It was just after she gave birth to Mikko, who took his father's bestial form, that things came to a head, leading to their divorce and her having sole custody of the newborn. Heart broken, Lezard took a job as far away from Scandinavia as he could, settling down in Japan to serve as a therapist to up and coming Heroes. It wasn't long after Mikko was born that his quirk manifested, which unknowingly caused much of the problems of his life.

Mikko could take the negative emotions of others and turn them positive, making his family in Norway view him as a leech or a cursed child. His mother ignored him and left him with family to raise him as she continued her career, of which he was teased and bullied constantly both at home and in school. The only friend he had was a wolfhound that belonged to his family, already an old creature. When he eventually passed away Mikko found he had no one that cared for him. He'd never met his father and only knew ridicule and scorn. Feeling he really was cursed, one day he stood at the edge of his favorite cliff, which gave a beautiful view, and in deepest depression he let himself slowly lean over then fall off the edge. If it wasn't for the fisherman at the base of the fjord he would have died from the crack to his head, yet the man was quick enough to save his life.

This led to the country's social services to investigate the family and life that had mistreated Mikko. Appalled, the affair turned into a scandal and ruined Sinerva's reputation and made the family pariahs. Custody was given to Lezard, who flew back just long enough to take his son with him to Japan after he was cleared to leave the hospital. Mikko had suffered a horrible wound to his head, one that would heal slowly and be dangerous if unprotected. Lezard, knowing how much the wolfhound hand meant to Mikko from stories, offered to his son to let that be a protective cover for him while he healed. That way, his best friend would always be looking after and protecting him. The boy agreed, of which soon after he took the test to join UA and he was able to pass, joining class 1A due to his selfless, if almost suicidal, efforts to save others in the test who found themselves in peril. He attends therapy sessions with his father, yet a so-far lifetime of trauma is not an easy thing to erase.

quirk description • When Mikko touches another, even through clothing, he can take their strongest negative emotion into himself. When this happens, colored lines appear on his fur in the theme of the emotion taken. He then converts this emotion from negative to positive, the stronger the emotion the longer the conversion takes. During this time he feels the full emotion himself, including basic memories that fuel said emotion. Once the conversion is complete the colored lines on him change accordingly and he can either touch himself or another to give the positive power to. This then boosts an aspect of that individual such as physical strength or speed or mental processing rate and reaction speed. After an amount of time this emotion and ability fade away, needing to begin the process again for another boost.

quirk limitation • When taking a strong emotion and converting it, the resulting power can allow a person to lift a car or dodge a fired arrow from a bow. Heavier objects or faster ones like a fired bullet are still outside what the quirk's power can deal with. For mental abilities it can enhance problem solving speed or reaction rate, but doing anything too fast or complex can still overwhelm the mind.

quirk weakness • Mikko has to touch the subject he is taking the emotion from, then has to wait the whole time of conversion while feeling the full force of that emotion as if it were his. It takes three posts for the conversion to complete, starting on the post with the contact. The boost given also lasts this same amount of posts. Depressive emotions can cause him to be sluggish while raging emotions can turn him into a berserk fighter of friend and foe alike. When he gives a boost to another or himself, he cannot give the same type of boost again in the same thread.
