Despite his small stature, Genki is very athletic, often surprising people with his feats of speed, strength, and jumping power. He is often mistaken for a child, all things consider, and his overall personality doesn't seem to help matters in that regard whenever the subject is brought up. the personality likes • cooking, food, sports, shuto dislikes • "competition", doing nothing, heroes, villains strengths • charismatic, compassionate, energetic, resourceful weaknesses • deceitful, hot-headed, possessive, vincdictive dreams • to live the quiet life alongside his husband fears • losing his husband overall personality • On the surface, Genki emulates the old ideal house wife. Cute, loving, reliable, and always ready to make give his husband a warm welcome home. He is generally very nice to people in public, giving off the aura of your every-day-normal-citizen who wants to see the world go round. Although, he is also described to be very energetic, almost hyper-active when it comes to things he is very passionate about such as cooking, health, sports, and some of the more "feminine activities" such as knitting, sewing, and a much longer list that we simply don't have the space provided to write everything down. Genki is essentially the "ideal housewife", if one were to go out of their way to label someone as such. However, underneath all of that, despite his generally overall good nature, Genki does in fact have a dark side. Ever since his husband Shuto had to step down as a pro-hero on the field and became a teacher, the small male has become protective of him. Very protective. He doesn't much care for the heroes or the villains on equal footing, and yet, firmly believes that the villains need someone to properly guide them. To organize their activity so as not to stir up too much chaos. This is mostly out of the fear that his husband may attempt to step back into the ring as a Pro-Hero, thus, putting his life at even greater risk than it already is. In his eyes, Shuto can do no wrong. He is gold in his eyes. Diamonds. His hero... his god. As such, Genki will gladly go to great lengths, no matter how paragon or renegade society might see his actions. Granted, he prefers to do things discreetly. He can't let the world know of his dark existence, let alone, his own husband. So he keeps things very quiet. Very hush-hush. What does that mean exactly? It means that anyone who gets in his way, or dares to speak ill of his husband in any fashion will meet a swift and treacherous end before their puny minds can even comprehend the fact that they've been killed. the history father • kenjiro himawari, 47, deceased mother • touko himawari, 35, deceased siblings • n/a important people • @snapshot hometown • tokyo overall history • Genki was nobody particularly special. He was born into an average family of himself and a mother and father. Nothing odd about it at all. He was a regular boy who was healthy, and was growing up to lead a normal life. He had a strong passion for sports though, particularly volleyball, as he loved being able to run and jump around, pushing all of his capabilities to their limits and beyond. It was the thrill of feeling such a rush of adrenaline pumping through his veins along with his own competitive nature. Yes, he was just a normal boy... at least, on the surface, he was. There were a few incidents in his life that did manage to draw some kind of attention, but have either been kept under wraps, or were completely forgotten. Or so he would have you believe. The first incident occurred during his time in elementary school. One day, a few kids thought it would be a good idea to bully him over his size and his hair, talking about how unnatural it was for a boy to be so small. In most cases, the victim would become very upset and cry. But that's the thing - Genki didn't cry. No, not a single tear was shed, and not even so much as a peep. Instead, he looked his bullies dead in the eyes... and made his move. It was later on when he was being picked up after school ended that day that the three children in question were behaving very strangely, as if there was nothing but vacancy in their eyes. It wouldn't turn up until much later that the children in particular were basically vegetables due to damage to the cerebral cortex. Signs that showed such were a seemingly constant state of lethargy, symptoms of depressive disorders, difficulty in decision making, memory issues, and attention problems. Needless to say, those children never bothered Genki again. Moving onward to middle-school, there were two incidents that had been covered up. The first was a similar incident to what had happened in elementary, save for the fact that there was no harm done to the bully's cerebral cortex this time. This time he had left a very tiny puncture in one of their lungs, allowing for a very slow, and painful death over the course of a week. They drowned in their own blood by the week's end. The second incident was during gym class while running on the track. One student didn't particularly care for how well Genki excelled in it, nor how much enthusiasm he had for it all the time. So they thought it would be a good idea to trip him up while he was running on the track. Now in most cases, you hear about a would-be victim of bullying to simply try to ignore it and let it be. However, that was not the case for Genki, not even in the slightest. He did not shrink back. He got even. This next victim of his wanted to belittle him for his love of running as quickly as possible on the track... so he made sure they could never run again. All it took was just the slightest bump from his toes into the other's achilles tendon. They wouldn't notice it at first, save for a bit of soreness from being bumped into. After all, as far as other people knew, Genki was Quirkless during these days, and he did everything he could to make sure their thoughts stayed that way, including playing the fool to those who would try to disrupt his own life. As time went on however, things would gradually become worse for the other student. Over the course of a month, they finally noticed a gradual soreness to a twinge of pain every time they would walk, and their ability to run became less and less. Genki had just ever-so-slightly severed their achilles tendon just enough so that the strain of everyday activity would slowly build overtime before finally being rendered useless. And to this day, nobody knows of these incidents. Not a soul. Fast-forward to a few more years. Genki is now a bright and healthy 19-year-old, having graduated through high-school without incident, and holding a strong passion for sports. He'd even acquired a part-time job so that he could start saving up towards college and aim for a degree. Oh yes, everything seemed like it was going swimmingly without a doubt. However, as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." There was an accident that occurred inside of the apartment building he and his parents were living in. Whether it was due to faulty gas, or pure negligence, an explosion occurred in one of the other tenant's flats to the point no one seemed to notice until it was too late. The flames spread like wildfire to the point where the exits couldn't be reached, and no one was able to send word out right away. Heroes did arrive upon the scene, rescuing the tenants as swiftly and safely as possible. However, there had come a point where they feared it was too late to save everyone. The heroes felt they could do naught but stand by to watch the building collapse. All of them gave up, and left Genki alone with his parents who died protecting him from incoming rubble to sit there, frozen in shock and despair. All of the heroes except for one... That hero, Snapshot, was the only one to dive back into the danger zone and save him from the collapsing rubble as the rest of the building came falling down around them. He lived. Genki was alive. But the price for it was for the man who'd saved him breaking his back in the process. While the teen was in fact grateful for being saved, he felt an overwhelming sense of guilt at the same time. At least, at first he did. Hospital visits had become a daily thing for Genki instantly, always staying by the hero Snapshot's side and offering any aid that he could. Perhaps it was a bit much, even burdensome to a degree. But he didn't care. For you see, his guilt would soon become a sort of clarity, and that clarity would soon turn into infatuation. And before he knew it, the more time he spent with Snapshot, the more he realized he had fallen very, very hard. He was his number one fan. He was in love. But this too, would later be tainted in a way. The moment Snapshot was discharged from the hospital, Genki confessed his feelings to the man, not even caring if he was rejected. But much to his surprise, he was well-received, and was loved in kind. Naturally, after Shuto(Snapshot)'s recovery, rumors started floating around as to who the hero was seeing romantically. Genki didn't mind any of this. He didn't care for the attention, so long as he could spend his time with his beloved. And after a time, the two of them even tied the knot. But again... all good things must come to an end... Later on, there was a mission in America that Shuto absolutely had to go to. Despite all his worries, Genki could only give a sad smile as his husband went off to the East in order to do the job given to him. The young man was certain his husband would come back home to him safe and sound. After all, he'd been taking very good care of himself. And yet... despite that... Shuto came home in worse shape than before. His back had been broken a second time, and the man he loved was now forced to walk with a cane. When Genki asked him what had happened, he was told that a man who went by the name "Zerk" had interfered in his mission and snapped his back... and thus, "Snapshot" would no longer be able to operate on the field. Hearing this, Genki was absolutely crushed. His hero... his idol... his everything had been shattered and reduced to a shell of the former man he loved. This was not to say that Genki would ever stop loving Shuto, oh no. If anything, that shock and despair was replaced with something else entirely. Something dark. A hatred for heroes, vigilantes, and villains alike. If none of them ever existed, then this never would have happened to his precious Shuto. His parents wouldn't have been taken away due to the cowardice of heroes, the cold-hearted ruthlessness of vigilantes, and the mindless chaos of villains. All of this sparked something inside of Genki that in secret, would make him take matters into his own hands. He'd already done away with a wanna-be villain who thought they could use him against his husband. Who was to say he couldn't do it again? ...No. No, that's not quite right. For you see, Genki does not intend to be a hero, nor a vigilante. But as much as he despises villains at equal measure... perhaps turning towards their side would prove more fruitful for his intentions. Yes, if he could become a mastermind, then all he need do is organize the crimes to stay away from himself and Shuto. And if anyone should be bold, or stupid enough to get in the way of his ideal paradise of a quiet life with his husband? Well... the alligator man certainly didn't live to tell the tale. Do you think anyone else will? the Quirk quirk's name • psychic weaponry quirk's rank • VIII quirk's tier • II quirk's type • emitter quirk description • Genki can construct psionic weapons that can damage a target either physically, mentally or both in some point. Genki can manifest Telekinetic blade composed of raw psi-energy, which at its lowest intensity, functions to disrupt neural pathways and sever the bonds between molecules, and at its highest level, his blade can slice an armored opponent and cut through the armor, but leave the attacker physically unharmed. He can also use his swords to shatter telepathic power-inhibitors imposed on others. Genki's telekinetic manifestations produce visible radiance in the physical world. Thus, he can use his psychic blades as a makeshift light source in areas of darkness. He typically likes to use them slowly cut his victim's organs open, gradually increasing their internal bleeding. quirk limitation • As explained prior, depending on the frequency, it is capable of physically affecting people on a molecular level, such as causing wounds via cuts on the surface, or bypassing the surface of the body to target the organs directly, or alternatively, it can cut through solid objects without affecting a person carrying or wearing them. Genki is also capable of changing these psychic constructs to better fit his needs, ranging from the length of a dagger, to the length of a katana. He can also modify it to act as a whip with a blade attached to the end for a bit of additional range. quirk weakness • While the quirk does provide a certain number of melee applications, it is still severely limited by its overall range. Genki will have the obvious advantage in close-quarters-combat, while his whip can only reach out to a total of 15 feet. Also being that this is a mental quirk, it does require a certain amount of concentration to create the weapons, as well as manipulate them with the skill he does. Keeping them up for a prolonged period of time usually results in brain hemorrhaging, typically signaled by bleeding from the nose. -Active for a total of 3 posts per thread the Talents talent's name • athletics talent's rank • V talent's tier • II talent description • genki has always had a love of maintaining his health, and challenging his limits in competitive sports since he was in elementary. As such, it should come as no surprise that he would possess the physical capability that puts him on par with Olympic athletes, at least, to a slightly smaller degree. sprinting, jumping, balance, reflexes - all of these things are physical traits that he practices regularly in order to stay in top form. While his Psychic Blades can in fact be used in a head-on situation, it is best utilized in a one-on-one fashion. Better to get it done quickly than to prolong the fight, especially if it means he can avoid hemorrhaging in the brain. talent's name • mixed martial arts talent's rank • V talent's tier • II talent description • in the case that instant assassination is not viable, Genki has also taken up various disciplines of martial arts in order to extend his repertoire should he be forced into a close-quarters-combat situation. His favorites in this case revolve around Judo, Wing Chun, Baji Quan, and an improvised version of such. while Baji Quan is designed to break an opponent to disable them in combat, the version we speak of is adjusted to aim blows for the internal organs, causing paralysis, and possible internal bleeding. However, with his small size and stature, his blows will never be strong enough to kill a person. Merely to stun and cause minor ruptures, which victims can still recover from. Genki is capable of using the jacket as a glider when falling from extensive heights, greatly decelerating his falling speed, and permitting him a safe landing. Inside, the jacket is lined with a number of knives that can either be thrown, or used for close-quarters-combat. The helmet itself is shaped like a crow's head with an elongated beak, and mirrored-glass so that he may see out, but none may see in. This suit's greatest purpose is to mask his identity from any and all.. especially his husband. the role player |
