Throughout most of the day she can be found wearing her skintight, light pink bodysuit that has fur around the neck and cuffs. Normally, one would not be able to see her in just this outfit but instead, she wears many, many other outfits over it. Her normal outfit outside of the school uniform is a blue and white double-sleeve hoodie emblazoned with the numbers ‘26’, a blue and white baseball hat with the word ‘By’ printed on the front, and dons a pair of white long boots with straps. She’s prone to tripping and falling, much to her own dismay yet she still reacts extremely quick to any outside stimuli; that is to say, her fight or flight response is hypoactive. When threatened her immediate response is to dart to the nearest shadow so she can use her quirk to ‘hide’ from the threat. Her parents were, at least for the first half of her life, good people who worked a normal life owning a small cafe, with her mother as the waitress with Yumiko periodically helping around the house. Everything changed when she overheard a loud argument between two men in the main dining room. At the time, she couldn’t understand what was going on, but a loud bang could be heard before a large amount of smoke was visible and her father dripped red. Being too young to know it was blood, her father fell to the ground. An excited yelp came from her before the men opened the door further. Light shone, and that was when she discovered her quirk. The moment light touched the shelf she was peering around, a shadow was cast. It’s cold touch on her feet felt like a sweet embrace as she suddenly fell through the shadow. Everything was... cold and it felt as though she was submerged fully in water. Panicking, she flailed her arms to move and gasped for breath; her body told her she was drowning until she opened her eyes. The world around her was a dark abyss. Light seemed to shine from above her in a strange rectangular fashion, and threw it she could see the man who shot her father walk by. It felt as though he looked straight at her, but he proceeded to continue further down the hall. She never saw that man again. After that incident, however, more and more unsavory individuals started showing up at the cafe. More men and women that appeared like hooligans in cartoons. Yumiko watched TV, she knew what these were, but she never bothered saying it aloud out of fear that they would know, know that she desperately wanted to turn them in. With each passing day life would have continued like normal, except that Yumiko was forced to stay at school later and later, urged to take longer to come home, told to spend more time at their friends house until a week before graduation day. They told her who the men were. She knew, just hadn’t told them. Criminals, all of them; her home became a den of villainy that she couldn’t stop. If she tried, she might die or worse, her beloved parents; if they were beloved any longer. Growing up the past seven years she watched her parents delve further into villainy; not the side that uses their quirks, but the side that aides them. Such an environment was not fit for Yumiko, and she had to leave before it too consumed her. YOU CAN USE THESE ON YOUR QUIRK OR YOUR TALENTS) Shadow Sneak quirk's rank • II quirk's tier • I quirk's type • emitter, transformation quirk description • Shadow Sneak allows the user to sink into the shadows of other objects or people, bringing herself into a strange abyss like area as she watches the world through the shadow she entered. The quirk itself has no inherent strengths outside of being able to travel completely undetected if the object she enters the shadow of happens to be mobile. She is also able to bring anyone she is physically touching with her into the shadows, but limitations apply. While inside the shadow, she is located in a place she refers to as the ‘abyss.’ The abyss is a large area that is completely pitch black, like the deepest parts of the ocean with but a single window of light shining into it. This window acts as a way for her to see the world around where she is going to exit the shadow from. quirk limitation • For her to enter the shadow, she needs to be able to fit her body through the shadow itself, like climbing through a window or stepping through a door. She can enter or exit her shadow once per post, but never both at the same time. If the shadow is large enough, she will even be able to bring others with her, except any object that loses contact with her while in the ‘abyss’ will be violently launched out of the shadow as if being thrown by a large man. This is not strong enough to cause injury, but is certainly jarring to have happen to you. Currently, she can stay submerged in her shadow for a maximum of 5 consecutive posts. The first 3 posts she spends in the abyss will stay when she exits until she warms up from a outside source. quirk weakness • While Yumiko is able to hide in her shadow, or anyone elses shadow, the water in the abyss is exceptionally cold. Like arctic waters, the longer you stay, the more you lose feeling in your extremities and the harder it becomes to move your body. Eventually, it will get to a point where hypothermia begins to set in, and once that starts to happen her quirk deactivates immediately, ejecting her in the same violent fashion that someone she releases would be ejected. If the shadow she is in would cease to exist, either through complete illumination to the point where she would be unable to enter, or through complete darkness where no shadow can be cast, it will eject her just as violently as staying for too long. the Talents talent's name • Cold Resistance talent's rank • I talent's tier • I talent description • Cold Resistance lowers Yumiko's comfortable temperature minimum while also allowing her to be more resistant to cold effects. Essentially, she's acclimated to below 0 weather and is not affected by it nearly as much. This skill was gained from her quirk's side effect, and does not affect her ability to resist her quirk's cold effect. talent's name • Skulduggery talent's rank • II talent's tier • II talent description • The ability Skulduggery is Yumiko's overall ability to be tricky both in and out of combat. When out of combat, this allows her to perform feats of befuddling, a few examples being the simple tap on left shoulder while walking around the right side of someone all the way down lifting small objects from peoples pockets without them realizing. In combat, this allows her to feint and trick, allowing her less than powerful punches to land much more often, and in places people least expect.
