It was a beautiful morning in Japan. Birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and it was a pleasantly cool temperature. There was nary a cloud in the sky, save for the occasional white tuft that passed by to occasionally blot out the sun’s rays and keep the temperature amenable to anyone looking to go out today. Perfect for an early morning walk.[break][break]
Which was exactly what a certain fox-eared lady was doing. Though most of her sort loathed the idea of waking up early to do anything, she adored it. Temperatures were pleasant and it was always nice to see the early rise of the sun. She was rather eye-catching, especially when dressed in her kimono like that, but she seemed to be the type to enjoy the attention. Unfortunately for her, not many would be awake at this time of day, meaning she had to settle for the occasional look of veiled disgust from an elderly person.[break][break]
What a pain.[break][break]
Kawaguchi Chiyoko was an inexperienced teacher. Indeed, she’d only taken this up because she’d lose her hero licence otherwise. Still, she wanted to make the most of it. Even as she walked past the trees through the scenic route to Shiketsu. What a pain of a school, so uptight and focused on “maintaining dignity”. As a student, she was so glad to be out of that school. Only three years had passed, so she imagined most of the people that she met there would be the same people she’d now be working with.[break][break]
A devious, almost evil smirk came onto her face as she passed by the main gate. She still had about half an hour before classes started, so she took her time to make her presence known, much to the dread of all the staff still present from when she was a student. Oh, she was going to have so much fun pranking them![break][break]
But that was for later. For now, she’d simply do her job and gain the trust of her co-workers… slowly but surely~.[break][break]
She walked into her classroom with ten minutes to spare. The teachers were usually early, if she remembered right, to set up their material. She did exactly that, booting up the computer and checking to see if the projector was still working. After doing that, she’d triple-check if she brought everything. She couldn’t be seen making silly mistakes, after all, even if this would be more of an introductory class than an actual class. Students loved those if only for the simple fact that they got to have no work.[break][break]
With all that out of the way, she propped herself up onto the desk, sitting there with her legs crossed. Any student who walked in would see a small, young-looking fox lady dressed in a kimono and tapping away at her phone sat on the desk. She seemed bored.
Here it is! Any Shiketsu student should feel free to jump in! i never told a lie, and that makes me a liar. ❝ The sun was shining, the birds are flying, and the flowers were blooming. Today couldn't have been any more perfect for the first day of school. And here in his room, Akihito was sleeping away under his futon only stirring awake when his phone started buzzing next to his head and the early morning rays were hitting his eyes and his eyes fluttered awake, and he let out a groan. He raised his body from his comfy futon and looked around in a sleepy daze before sleepily grabbing at his phone, and he stares at it for a solid minute before he quickly rose to his feet in a panic and started changing into his custom uniform which still looked a little too tight on him. [break][break] Akihito ran down the stairs making sure he didn't slam his head on the low ceilings of the stairs as he does so. When he ran into the kitchen, he saw his sisters and father eating breakfast his mother no doubt off for work, Aki asked "Why didn't you guys wake me up for the first day at school?" Aki asked which got a confused look from his sisters, but they then giggled, and his youngest sister, handed him a piece of toast with some jam on it, Aki let out a groan and grabbed the toast put it in his large toothy mouth as he started booking it out of his family house. [break][break] Aki was running down the back alleys of his neighborhood to make it to school on time. Aki didn't have time to worry or feel anxious about his first day all he felt was panic for oversleeping on the first day of class. Akihito has never run as much, and as fast he did to school as he did for today, he also lost half his toast while running. [break][break] Aki didn't stop running when he got into the hero school of Shiketsu if he wasn't so late he would be so shocked that he made it here. But he is, and he has never been prouder. h [break][break] Aki saw the sign for 1-A and so he dashed for it and slammed open the door, and yelled out to the mostly empty classroom, "I AM NOT LATE... Wait where is everybody?" Aki asked in confusion as he saw a mostly empty classroom besides from a small lady with fox ears and tails, Aki, being polite walked over to her and bowed to before asking, "W-would you perhaps be our homeroom teacher?" Aki said in a shaky and breathy tone of voice from running 12 km in 20 minutes. But after the adrenaline started to die down, Aki's face started getting red and he kept talking, "That's a silly question, you are in the teacher's desk after all... but-but yeah my name is Akihito Fujikawa!" Aki loudly greeted as he bowed again to the small kitsune-like woman. "It's nice to meet you!"

Post by Yumiko on Oct 1, 2019 7:12:49 GMT -5
[nospaces] (Early TL;DR. Scroll down until the horizontal line to skip fluff of her escaping home.) [break][break] Yawning with a wide stretch, Yumiko woke up far earlier than she needed to. School was today, and it would be terrible to be late! There were some issues however that she needed to sort out, and those might take far too long. Weeks before her mother had helped her procure a pink skintight bodysuit, with fur around the collar and hands for reasons; the fur was simply her mother's watermark, each of her creations had fur around the neck and hands. This bodysuit made it easy for Yumiko to leave home for school wearing one outfit, and then she could change into her school uniform on the way. [break][break] Why did she need to do this? Well, that would be an easy answer. The only way out of the house was through the bar's entrance. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, except that her family ran a den of villainy and none of them were particularly fans of Shiketsu High. Since it was the first day of school, Yumiko would finally be able to find out whether or not her plan would work. After slinking into her bodysuit, she threw on her blue '29' sweater-jacket and donned her 'By' baseball cap and grabbed her large backpack before heading into the front of the cafe. [break][break] Knowing that the best way to pass through the 'den' was to make sure no deliveries to tables had to be made, and to simply exit the door as fast as possible. It looks like her father had left a tray with a few drinks marked with the table numbers in the backroom for one of the waiters to carry out to the tables; perfect timing she thought. 'If I take this out front, I can drop these off at tables 4, and 5 without being stopped and exit the door after!' It seemed simple, so she grabbed the tray and rushed out the door. [break][break] The room was filled with curious figures, each of them in masks and some of them appearing more deformed than others. In this society it was normal, except each of these folk seemed far more intimidating. Upon seeing all of these shady characters in one place, normally one would be scared; but Yumiko was used to it. Sliding across the room she quickly slid the tray onto the correct desk and darted out the front door before the two tables could even thank her. [break][break] Rushing outside of her corrupted home, she bolted down the small alleyway leading up to her house. It was but a small trip on the metro to get to her destination, and she was extremely thankful that she lived so close to the station itself. It was here where she would finally get to change into her school uniform. All of this trouble was worth it though; anything to save her parents from their fate. [break][break] Ding. That was the sound of a train arriving. Trains only stayed long enough to let people off, and let people on; if you weren't there when boarding started, the chance you would get on was exceptionally low. Panic ensued in Yumiko's mind. This was such a bad omen! Was she going to be late her first day to school!? Breaking out into a sprint, she ran towards the transit center, swiping her pass and trying to rapidly push herself through the three-pronged gates. Perhaps, speed was not what she should have attempted as the girl practically flipped once she was out of the gate, getting caught on one of the prongs as her momentum carried her upper body forward and her lower body swung backward. [break][break] Thud; she landed on her back, but couldn't react to the shock from the flight response she was receiving. Scrambling to her feet she ran towards the train. One man was getting on, and she saw the doors start to close. Reaching one hand out, she tried to get to the door in time but the pain from hitting the floor a few moments ago kicked in. The world started in slow motion as her foot hit the ground at an odd angle, and she began falling sideways towards the car and the door began to close slowly. At this rate, she wouldn't be able to get to the door to get her arm in it to stop it from closing... but wait! Quick thinking from adrenaline kicked in; opposite the door was a single light, shining from behind the man that just got on, and his shadow peeked out from the door as it closed. That's it! Her hand swung forward and she grabbed onto the shadow, activating her quirk before sliding inside just before the shadow was cut off. [break][break] Submerged, a familiar feeling, but the shadow she saw warped for a moment and seemed to cut off above her. Such cold numbed the pain from earlier, but she couldn't stay too long. How many people were on this part of the train? The answer; tons. There was one spot she could fit, however, and the girl poked her head out and began climbing out of the man's shadow. [break][break] "AHH!" The man's voice popped out. "Where did you come from!?"[break][break] Sighing, and shivering, she responded simply. "Your shadow. T-thanks by the way. B-because of you... I-I w-won't be l-late to school." Instinctively grabbing her sides she let her shiver kick in full power; she didn't feel too cold from her quirk, but instead just wanted to play it off like she was freezing in hopes that the man let her be. [break][break] Only thirty minutes to go. "Wait, that uniform, are you attending Shiketsu?" The man asked kindly and the girl nodded in kind, averting her gaze. "I wish you good luck. Not many have the bravery or willpower to strive to become heroes." With a smile, he turned away and stepped through the crowd, leaving a shivering Yumiko behind. [break][break]
[break] With all of this, she wouldn't be late; instead of arriving to class just before... a giant fish man? Was she heading to the right class? Looking at the top of the door, she squinted. 1-A, yeah this is her classroom alright... but who's the giant lobster? Noting that she heard shouting from down the hall earlier, this man must have been the one doing it as his voice seemed to still be exceptionally boisterous as she listened to him introduce himself as Akihito Fujikawa. If only the man moved out of the way, she would be able to see her homeroom teacher. [break][break] Lightly pushing on the crab man twice her size, she squeezed through the door in an almost cartoony fashion, pressed against the door taking a quick look up at the man named Akihito. "and I am Yumiko Mizunaka!" Her grin was wide and her voice cheery, her attention then changed to their homeroom teacher. "You're our teacher? Those tails look sooo fluffy! Can... I... HNNN..." Yumiko started actively trying to push past the ocean man but barely fit through the door. "TOUCH THEM!" Flailing her arms she gave up, and let herself remain pinned to the doorframe; if he let her through she would simply fall face-first onto the ground with a soft 'plop' sound followed by an over-exaggerated "Bleh."[break][break] And that was her first introductions to both her teacher, and one, if not more of her fellow students. [break]

Post by Ryuzaki Takeichi on Oct 1, 2019 8:44:03 GMT -5
Shiketsu huh? Was this finally it? Ryuzaki's first day of high school? The first day of his training to become a pro-hero? Ryuzaki was excited about it. First however, he had to MAKE it to school. Quickly he made a bowl of cereal for himself and poured milk over it before grabbing a spoon and quickly scarfing down the entire bowl without missing a beat and then chugging the milk. After wiping off his remaining milk mustache he looked at the clock and dawned on him. "Oh shit I'm late! I'm super late!" Ryuzaki said to himself before rummaging through his clothing drawers and quickly yoinking his student uniform and putting it on before grabbing a piece of white sandwich bread and using his quirk to toast it... or it would have toasted it if it didn't burn it into a fine black charcoal.... Whatever, he was still hungry regardless.
His practice in parkour helped some to his advantage and he managed to get there about the same time as the green haired girl and the fish boy. A piece of burnt toast hanging out of his mouth as he, quite literally, slid underneath Akihito's legs and into the classroom. "O eez, srry m ae" He said before realizing the piece of toast was still hanging out of his mouth, the blackened burnt crust right against his tastebuds. He quickly ate the toast so as not to taste it for too long before speaking fully. "I meant to say, Oh geez I'm sorry I massively overslept and am late, my alarm at home didn't go off." He said before bowing humbly. "I'm Ryuzaki Takeichi. I'm looking forward to making your acquaintance. Same for all the rest of you."
After all of that Ryuzaki simply found himself a seat at one of the desks and put his head down, he probably just made himself look like an enormous idiot. This was not going to bode well for him at all. Oh well, he's young and public image doesn't matter yet, he just has to get his act together fully before he truly becomes a pro-hero so he can make it big!

Post by Lilica on Oct 3, 2019 1:16:02 GMT -5
Beams of sunlight gently shines upon Lilica's delicate face. Her cherry pink eyes flutters open, and the groggy teen pulls herself up from her bed. Once she stretches her arms, she casts a sideways a brief side ways glance at the phone that lay across from her bed. Five snoozed alarms, the screen read. With her vision still blurred from the grogginess of sleep, it takes a moment for her to process exactly what that meant. She stares once more, blinking every the sleepiness away... Until her heart drops right down to her stomach. Today was the first day of class. Swiftly she leaps out of her bed, hands reaching and scrambling for whatever piece of clothing and school uniform she could scrounge up. Being late was fine, just not too late. At first, she wondered why her folks never got around to wake her up despite five alarms. But when where they ever around for anything? Of course she couldn't rely on them for something so basic. As long as she's not going to look like some loser that's the last one to enter class, then that's good enough for her. After washing her face, the young student rockets herself out of that door faster than she could have ever imagined. She huffed and she puffed, pushing her heels off concrete as she ran as fast as she could. Her hair's a disheveled mess, and the iconic military style hat sat lopsided over her head. It would have to make do, for now.
Soon enough, she made it past the towering gates.
She found the homeroom for 1-A easily enough, and when she got there she was hit by a blessing. The blessing in that she was in fact, nowhere near being late - in fact it would appear that there were only a handful of students around. A boy sat in his desk, his face buried into his arms. A fish-boy stood by the doorway, obviously gawking at what she presumed to be the teacher's fox-like tails. And a green-haired doormat of a girl lay plastered all over the floor. Lilica stood there, just at the doorway, loudly tapping her feet with crossed arms. She rolls her eyes and, without even bothering to say excuse me, steps over the green-haired girl as if she really was a mat and brushes shoulders against the fish-like student. "Jesus," her exasperated voice comes out. "Stop oggling the fox chick at the door way. You can do that at your desk."
Clearly the start of a healthy classroom relationship.

- are you strong enough to walk away? -
A symphony of perfect destruction.
That’s the term that Olive would give to describe what she saw before her as students were grouping up at the doorway that lead into Class 1-A. The pristine princess of all things clean and grandiose simply would not have for anything less than the grandest entrance she could muster and seeing that growing abomination of students in her pathway was more and more annoying the closer that she seemed to get.
Her amber eyes shifted into a glare that would frighten many lesser beings. Olive was a queen through and through and her stance on her subjects simply came to be that they were naught but ants to step on her presence. The girl put a closed fist just a few inches from her face as she approached as she went through the motions of “clearing her throat” and approaching with little to no hesitation at all.
“Make way, make way!” She shouted, those who turned to her would be greeted to a girl in her Shiketsu uniform and a set of bright, glowing wings. They were a solid 6 feet on either side of her and the colour seemed to gradient between blue and purple in diagonals sloshes across that glimmered with gentle white sparkles along the surface.
“The QUEEN has arrived.” Sorry for the hold up on this one, but it's here and done. Olive text colour is cf13b9

This was… a mess, simply put.[break][break]
While she didn’t expect anything less, considering her own class, it was a sobering reminder that perhaps she gave her teachers too hard a time. Still, not even her class could match up to… this. At first, it was just a few people coming in – a polite and absolutely huge boy. Goodness, he had to be about twice her size! Next, came in a green-haired girl attempting to squeeze her way past the fish boy to try and touch her tail ¬– such a request was more common than one might expect. Still, she decided to play a game with the young girl.[break][break]
“You can touch it… if you work hard! Be creative and try to catch me off-guard.” She told her. It would be good training, trying to come up with plans to catch her off-guard.[break][break]
But then, everyone else came. First, a boy that slid under the fish guy, then a sassy and adorable little girl with red eyes, and finally, another girl who seemed to fancy herself a queen. Oh, boy.[break][break]
“All right, all right, I think we’ve all made our entrances. How about we take a seat and settle down so I can properly introduce myself and get class rolling?” She requested of them with a smile, though if they had school at all, they knew that such a request was meant to be followed without question. There was nothing they hated more than students who didn’t settle down.[break][break]
Once they all did calm down, she’d smile, looking over her class. Hmm. Still not too many, but she supposed it was better than nothing. She imagined more would fill in as the days went by. Clearing her throat, she’d finally speak.[break][break]
“Hello, everyone, and welcome to Shiketsu High School. My name is Kawaguchi Chiyoko, and I am to be your homeroom teacher for at least this whole year, so let’s get along okay?” She said that last bit with a cheerful smile, “Now, Shiketsu does have a reputation for being a lot more… uptight when compared to the likes of UA. Almost militaristic, I’d say. It’s true; to some extent, you will be expected to follow stricter codes of conduct when compared to elsewhere.”[break][break]
“Shiketsu also has this thing about maintaining dignity at all times. To value your obligation as heroes…” She said with something approaching a scoff, “But I’m here to tell you that's mostly nonsense. People won’t care if you’re the most dignified person on Earth. What does matter, however, is the image you project to them. While being dignified isn’t too high on my list, people still look up to you. You are basically a moral compass for the general populace, and that means you guys need to set a good example. What code you follow can be any, but were I you, I’d base it on an already existing one. People smarter than you and I have come up with them.”[break][break]
She pulled out something from… her back? Her kimono didn’t seem to have room for pockets, but she pulled it from somewhere in there nonetheless. It was a blue book, slightly tattered. It looked old, “This here is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, written shortly after World War II. It compiles a list of all things that countries must follow should they ratify it. They aren’t… set laws, per se, more like moral obligations to be followed. I personally like to use it as a sort of guide for my moral compass; they teach important principles, and it was made at the end of a global catastrophe, with accumulated wisdom of over millennia of other codes and principles.”[break][break]
“I wouldn’t presume to have you follow my exact code, but I will teach you all the importance of such things. Things that must never be violated, even if you’re facing the most despicable of villains. Like I said before, you will be examples to be followed, and setting the wrong example is… not good.”[break][break]
She took a breath, and seemed to finally be done… but then added one more thing, “And for goodness sake, don’t try and face villains on your own. Always wait for a pro-hero. Trust me, I tried fighting a villain in my 1st year and got my sh- *ahem* my butt rocked. If it’s a life or death matter, stall them. Just… don’t try and be a hero until you’re actually a licenced hero, okay?”[break][break]
That was over with, and she waited a bit for all her words to sink in. After an appropriate amount of time, she spoke up again, “I’ve introduced myself. How about you all do the same? Of course, if you have any questions or even objections about what I said, speak up. I don’t want meek yes-men and yes-women in my class.”
Here it is! Any Shiketsu student should feel free to jump in! i never told a lie, and that makes me a liar. ❝ So much was going on. There are so many things happening that it was hard to keep track of everything for his tiny shark brain to retain. But he can try at least! Aki was at first pushed to the side a little bit by a green-haired girl, who proceeded to coo at their sensei, and Aki was now too awkward to move from where he was. Just watching the two talk for a moment before he noticed a boy crawling between his legs, which Aki let out a weird noise from his throat as he watches as the boy excused himself and took a seat. Next was a small girl who could easily fit around him and made a snide comment at him as she no doubt assumed he was gawking at their sensei, Aki let out a shocked sputtering noise as he tries to think of a retort to her comment and all he says instead was, [break][break] "I wasn't gawking at Sensei! I'm not into women like her! Aki says in his defense, but after realizing what he said he had a horrified expression and started making watery sputtering sounds again, "ASDFGHJKL-I MEANT I'M NOT INTO WOMAN AT ALL NOT YOU SPECIFICALLY SENSEI!" Aki said perhaps a little too loudly as he could feel his fishy blood go to his face, and he was blushing a deep crimson almost as red as the rest of his body. Aki let out a long groan, as he hid his face in his hands. [break][break] Thankfully, an even bigger mess flew into the room and made an even bigger scene, and he could be ignored and Aki could peacefully walk to his custom made desk and slam his head on the desk with a loud and wet 'THUD.' Like a fish hitting the bottom of a boat. Which would be a nicer fate then saying out loud what he said. [break][break] Aki raised his sharky head when Sensei spoke up, Akihito raised his head higher and placed his elbows on his desk to put his head in his hands to get a better look at Chiyoko-Sensei. Aki listened intently to what she said, but half of it went over his head, A declaration of human rights? Becoming a beacon of morals is all he glean off of what she said. Which he agrees with her wholeheartedly. So when Sensei asked for them to introduce themselves, which Aki did instantly by standing all 300 centimeters of himself and raising his hands as high as he could which banged up on the ceiling, which caused Aki to let out a loud gasp of pain as he lowered it to his face and he started whimpering at his hurt hand. [break][break] But after a few moments of whimpering about his hand, Aki remembered where he was and stood up tall and saluted at Sensei and yelled out, "THANK YOU SENSEI FOR LETTING US INTRODUCE OURSELVES." Aki said before sitting down. After a moment he had a look of horror on his face and stood up again with a beet-red face. " AH, UH HELLO EVERYBODY I AM AKIHITO FUJIKAWA, I'M NOT SHARK... UGH I MEAN MY QUIRK ISN'T MY APPEARANCE OR MY HEIGHT BEFORE YOU ALL ASK MY QUIRK IS THE ABILITY IS TO CONTROL ANY AND ALL WATER I CAN MAKE CONTACT WITH, AND BESIDES THAT I'M NOT THAT SPECIAL, I WANT TO HELP THOSE IN NEEDS AND BE A GOOD INFLUENCE FOR PEOPLE LIKE MY LITTLE SISTERS' WHO ALL LOOK UP TO ME AS THEIR OLDER BROTHER, AND I WISH TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE EVEN JUST A LITTLE BIT!" Aki finish yelling out as he sat back down and hid his face in his hands. That was too bold of him.

[nospaces] Looking up from her floor-based position, Yumiko watched as a young man slid past her from between the large fish-man's legs. At first, the boy babbled to the teacher before in a comedic fashion, swallowed what Yumiko could only see was a single piece of burnt toast. 'All that at once? That couldn't have felt good...' Her thoughts spoke to her as the boy repeated his introduction. Funny, none of them were late, but she certainly wouldn't be the one to correct him. Following Ryuzaki with her eyes as he walked to his desk, she got quite a jump when two voices came from behind them before Akihito boisterously announced his sexual preferences before quickly shuffling to his seat with a loud thud. [break][break] One exasperated sigh about ogling the teacher came from a small black haired girl with bright, vibrant pink eyes. Such eyes were absolutely breathtaking, much like the girl beside her as she proclaimed that the queen has arrived. 'Yes, indeed I see she has.' Yumiko's voice rang in her head in a sarcastic tone. Two giant, flashy wings... it was so obvious what her quirk was it almost hurt Yumiko to not comment on it. Almost, meaning that she completely did. [break][break] "Nice wings there queenie~" She jumped to her feet, face brimming with a wide smile. "Hope you can still get through the door!" A quick giggle prompted her to turn back to the teacher, who proclaimed that she would indeed touch the tail if she tried hard enough. Perfect... by the end of the year... no week that tail would be hers to ruffle! The girl's face had twisted into a very sinister expression, one fully befitting a villain but quickly turned into one of the most angelic smiles one would expect. Along with the rest of the class now, she too found her spot among the various seats. [break][break] Not many students were here already, but then again, this was just the first day; not all students of the class would be here as some were still unpacking their things in the dorms as they came from across the country, or even worse, across the world. Since introductions were finished, it was finally properly time for class. [break][break]
[break] Yumiko almost looked like a middle-schooler, swaying side to side with her feet swinging below her in an off-beat rhythm as their homeroom teacher, now named Kawaguchi Chiyoko, began talking about the school they were now attending. Shiketsu Academy, a school known for its militaristic style and students that showed exemplary discipline. When the topic of dignity was mentioned, Yumiko's eyes darted over to the two other girls that spoke up earlier. 'They certainly have part of it down but... I wouldn't want people to look up to Ms. Queen...' As she thought this her smile wandered from happy-go-lucky and started hitting creepy territories; she was able to control her expression, but no matter what she did her expression always reflected her thoughts. She knew they needed to be the epitome of a moral compass, just as Teach said; she could trust that she would be able to follow that code and always point the right path for those around her, but the others doing the same? That settles it. I will not be the moral compass for the general populace, but instead, everyone in the world. [break][break] It's time to shine like a beacon. [break][break] To do this, she would need to focus... no... hyper-focus on what Kawaguchi-Sensei was talking about. Something about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? She'd have to ask father about it later, he's more educated on those kinds of literature; if she already knew about it before Teach could teach it, then she could earn double the brownie points to touch that fluffy tail! Oh, and of course show her excessive determination to her classmates. That was a given, right? Her eyes wandered up as if she was looking at her own chat bubbles, or watching her personal angel and devil fight each other; the angel saying that she should be a good student and help her peers while the devil was saying to use her classmates as stepping stones so she could do what she desired. Touch. That. Tail. [break][break] And then Teach almost cursed. Not that it would have bothered Yumiko, but the way she covered it up was odd at best; most people just let it fly, at least, that's what she was used to. Perhaps that was one of the Universal thingies? Right! She was talking about fighting villains, and now she is talking about questions or objections. Quick Yumiko! Think quickly! Then a loud booming voice came from the huge ocean man. His name was Akihito Fujikawa... and he had quite an amusingly strong quirk if that was the case. Especially Bold too, but that seemed to hit him hard as he sat down and tried to hide. [break][break] That's it! I'll impress Teach starting now! The moment Akihito sat back down, Yumiko's legs stopped swinging and she slammed her desk, shooting to her feet in a strange heroic pose that a sailor would have while sailing the high seas; one leg up on her chair, the other straight on the ground with her leaning backward heroically as her arm was held rigidly over her chest. [break][break] "I am Yumiko Mizunaka!" She paused, holding her pose as she did so before opening a single eye to see the other students. "And I will be the best of this class by the end of the year! Just you wait and see!" Her arm swung forward in a large theatrical arc, pointing right at the teacher. "Your tail will be mine just you wait Kawaguchi-sensei! And with its powers, I will defeat not just one, but many villains at once just you watch!" Yumiko's body shifted quickly, performing the motions of what a Saturday morning villain might do while laughing like a maniac before calmly coughing slightly, gaining a brimming smile, before bowing. "It's nice to meet all of you!" Her voice cooed one final time, before finally, she took a seat, watching and waiting for the next student to introduce themselves. [break]

As Ryuzaki sat at his desk he began to idly play around with his quirk in very small burst so he didn't light anything on fire or burn somebody. Snapping his fingers repeatedly and making a spark of the plasma from his quirk dance between his fingertips with each snap before it disappeared again as quickly as it came. He wasn't one for a whole lot of chatter so he zoned out through the entire conversation where the green-haired girl was asking to touch the teacher's tail, not even hearing it. However what he did hear was Olive's.... egotistical entrance. He just kinda tilted his head up a bit with the spark of plasma still burning between his finger tips and staring right at her for a moment.
The look on his face was not the look of admiration. It was a look of confusion and bewilderment as to how anybody could really think that highly of themselves in the hero field. That was stupid and just asking for a villain to come along and kill you without requiring any effort. Either way he looked back down at the spark and extinguished it as introductions started. First up was green haired girl. Yumiko-chan was it? Oh boy.... another egotistical one. At this point Ryuzaki opened his mouth. "The best huh? Well I certainly hope you're good at the very least otherwise the villains will rip you and you ego to pieces." Ryuzaki responded to that introduction, giving a slight teasing smile. If they were going to showboat and make themselves look high and mighty, he might as well have fun with it.
Nobody else seemed to stand after that one and after Yumiko sat back down Ryuzaki stood to introduce himself since the room became a bit more quiet and nobody seemed to be making a move at the moment. "The name is Ryuzaki Takeichi. I'm from Shinjuku. My parents are locally known pro-heroes within Shinjuku. I live in an apartment just a couple of blocks from the school. Oh, and my quirk allows me to uh.... well.... how to explain it..." Ryuzaki trailed off to think for a moment before snapping his fingers as a metaphorical light bulb appeared over his head. "Yknow what stars are made of? I can emit a mixture of gases similar to that from my body and then as it's released superheat it in an instant turning it into plasma." He said before he went quiet and awaited any responses, sitting back down mere moments later.

[attr="class","box2"]“Make way, Make way … the QUEEN has arrived!”
As gaudy as the flashy bird-like wings against her shoulder-blades, Meisa didn’t yet know who the petite ashen-haired girl was but already, in the few minutes it took to walk down the hall and reach “1-A”’s classroom, she felt she could take a guess at her personality. Those with the most to prove, the most lacking, will bark the loudest.
Even so, Meisa didn’t smirk or taunt her as some of their other arriving classmates did. With attention focussed upon the other, Meisa slipped silently around those flashy wings and stepped into the classroom. No need to acknowledge anyone or to be acknowledged as she claimed a desk in the far back corner, closest to a window. Dropping her teal-hued backpack onto the floor, she sat down and scrutinized, briefly, the woman who would be her Sensei from afar.
Calling her a “woman” felt a bit generous – she didn’t look a year older than Meisa herself, despite the refinery of the kimono that she wore. Perhaps it was her foxy features that added to her childish demeanor? Taking out a notebook and the slender form of a pencil-case, the dark slender shapes of Meisa’s eyebrows narrowed as she mentally sorted through her memory, of heroes, those current and those retired, that her father had determined that she was aware of. Trying to fix a name to her sensei’s face.
It was then that she began to address the room – Kawaguchi Chiyoko – and Meisa’s blue eyes hardened, her jaw setting unhappily. Kawaguchi Chiyoko was also the heroine “Aegis” – and she was not the sort of “hero” that Meisa cared to learn from. For she was not one who cared about crushing evil – her father had shared with Meisa those few pale rumours of what laws the foxy heroine had bent, if not broken, just to get what she wanted. Incidents that had connections with Aegis but failed to hold her accountable to – still, her father would always insist that Aegis was “crooked.” One who only pretended to be good. It was why there had been talk that Aegis’ hero-licence had finally been taken from her and why she had disappeared from the public eye for a time – why she was suddenly a teacher at the renowned Shiketsu Academy Meisa didn’t understand.
She didn’t care to listen attentively to her talk about “setting a good example” or the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, instead taking a pencil from her pencil-case. Beginning to draw a glowering cartoon-esque depiction of her father’s face upon a page of her notebook.
Wondering if she dared to tell him who the academy had chosen to be her teacher. Too aware of just how “explosive” his reaction would be if she did.
Talk turned to introductions and occasionally Meisa’s blue eyes would lift, watching as students gave their names and short demonstrations of their quirks.
Placing down her pencil and standing up from her seat, she figured that she might as well go next.
”Meisa Horikita – nice to meet you all.” She offered a smile, friendly enough but without flaunting her pale teeth. Her blue eyes moved from one face to another, debating on what further she should say – being overly modest seemed to be a sure way to be dismissed but overconfidence seemed to be taken just as badly. ”Hmm. Well … I’m from Yokohama where my dad’s the retired hero King Dynamite.” She paused, her fingers entwining together, more a gesture of pride, enthusiasm, than standard fidgeting. ”I want to be a hero too, so, that’s why I’m here.”
She reached down for her notebook and pencil, balancing the book against the crook of an arm as the pencil, held in her other hand, scratched across the paper. Saying, as she did so, ”My quirk is called ‘Artistry’ – whatever I draw or paint or design I can bring to life.”
Her pencil fell still and, suddenly, at her side stood a “creature” of resemblance to her new sensei – only smaller and cartoonish. Just reaching three-feet-in-height, it was formed of scratched lines and exaggerated roundness, and in monochrome shading. “Cartoon Sensei” faced everyone as it clapped its small hands together and threw its head back, to cackle maniacally – only no sound escaped from it.
And, with that gesture, it “crumpled” – dissolving into what looked like black ash.
Wiping away what little substance had rained down upon a corner of her desk, Meisa gave a final smile before sitting back down. Awaiting for the next student to take their turn. Not everyone's perfect... but sometimes the world seems like it'd be better off if they were. What an embarrassing day on Kouen's behalf, he took the bus to Shiketsu today although a bit late, it showed him for relying on public transport. The bus came way earlier than it should've and he had to take the next bus, which was late. It was a good thing that he went early however, which he needed because it's his first day. He'd need time to get used to the school grounds but it seems he doesn't have that luxury now, having to get to class as soon as he got to Shiketsu.
Luckily, his bus arrived near Shiketsu but only a few minutes before his class and as expected, he got lost. He supposed when it came to these sorts of schools, they were bound to have a lot of areas but they had way too many! any teachers or students he could've asked for help were already in class and he has to rely on his own wits and knowledge to figure out where the hell this class is.
It took him a bit, but he came across a room with the sign "Class 1-A" as clear as day. As soon as he walked in, he could hear a familiar voice. "-quirk is 'Artistry'" as soon as he heard that, he froze at the door. He already knew who it was, damn it! why did they have to be in the same class? he swallowed it up, waiting for her introduction to be finished and finally walked through the door, expecting all eyes to be on him.
"Hi everyone, sorry for being late." he wasn't going to make excuses, his circumstances weren't that good and he'll simply try next time. "But from what I heard while I was entering the classroom, you guys are introducing each other?" he said as he went to take his own desk, giving a side glance to Meisa. He placed his bag down on the side and before he'd sit down, he would do his introduction first.
"My name is Kouen Shirogiri. I'll say this upfront so it doesn't come out another way, my parents are villains. I'm not like them and I'm here to prove it in this classroom, by training to become a pro hero. As for my quirk, it's named Warp Gate... it's basically portals with a fancy name." and to demonstrate this, he created two purple-mist portals around his desk. He picked up a nearby pencil and chucked it at one portal and it came from the other portal. He then closed both of them. It demonstrated the point well enough. "I can't transport people however, as cool as that would be. I can also open my portals based on coordinates, though they have to be vividly clear in my mind to do so and uh... remembering coordinates is not easy, I'll tell you that." he believed his introduction was brief and sweet as it is, and left it there, sitting down at his desk. notes ♡

Hidekis first day at Shiketsu Academy. To say he was excited would be a bit of an understatement. Nervous, too, he supposed. But not so much so that he let it show. He had to make a good first impression on his teacher and his fellow classmates. After all, it was a Hero school. He wasn't naive enough to think that teamwork wouldn't be taught. Not that it was a problem for him. It made the most logical sense. A Hero had a higher chance of coming out of a fight alive, and more importantly less likely to come out severely injured, if they worked with a partner or three. He'd seen enough of his mothers fights to know how valuable a good team you could trust was.[break][break] When he turned the corner to the room, Hideki snuck off to the side, not announcing his presence, instead opting to lean against the wall with his arms crossed in a relaxed manner. He scanned around for their sensei, only to spot a young-looking, short fox-eared girl in a Kimono. This caught Hideki off-guard -- Chiyoko-san was their teacher? The pro he had helped just two weeks prior? He had figured that she had some connection to Shiketsu. Maybe she knew someone at the school, or maybe she'd been a student herself. How else would she have so easily put in a good word for him to get a private entrance exam for him scheduled? But to think she was a teacher herself... well he supposed he'd already made a good impression on her. At least he hoped, anyway. [break][break] Though when asked to move to a seat he nodded and obliged silently moving to a seat in front of Meisa, picking a window seat. Hideki had sat at window seats his whole life. It was for the benefit of his quirk. The more sunlight he could get the better. He set his bookbag underneath his chair and listened intently to what their teacher had to say. She was going on about the World War II humans rights charter. He supposed it made sense. Especially with her stating that Shiketsu was more akin to a military academy than a proper high school, and not as lax as UA was. He raised an eyebrow at that statement. UA was supposed to be lax? Their entrance exam had proven a challenge, even for Hideki. Well. Once his quirk ran out, anyway. He had no way to fight off those robots with just his normal human abilities and no way to recharge his quirk.[break][break] What she was saying made sense, though. The students in this room were training to be heroes. Paragons of justice and moral integrity. A beacon for the rest of society to follow. If a Hero went and tortured a villain on live TV, what would that say for the rest of the world? That it was okay? A Hero had to be better than the villains that they fought. But it was a delicate balance. Hideki was aware that many Heroes refused to kill. Which, he supposed, made sense. But if a Villain proved too great a threat to be taken down non-lethally wasn't it a Heroes duty to fulfil that purpose? To protect the public, even at the cost of their moral code?[break][break] Though when Chiyoko mentioned not fighting a villain, Hideki felt a little embarassed. He had used his quirk, technically illegally, to protect Chiyoko from an attack from a villain about two weeks prior. He hadn't assaulted the villain, or tried to fight. He simply bought a few seconds for Chiyoko to get back on her feet and take the villain down. But she'd already given him an earful for that stunt. The fact that he was even in this class to begin with told him that she thought he had potential. Otherwise she'd have reported his illegal quirk usage to the local authorities. [break][break] Though there now came the time to introduce themselves. Everyone seemed to be going in turn, starting with the shark boy, and ending at Kouen. Hideki supposed that meant he was next. When the eyes fell on him, he'd stand up from his desk and speak to the rest of the class. "My name is Hideki." He raised his right arm, his blue eyes glowing. A small golden orb appeared in his hand, floating just above his palm. "My quirk is called Solar. My body absorbs UV light from the sun, and converts it into energy. I can then use this energy to create... just about anything, really."[break][break] The orb slowly lifted up and away from Hidekis hand, and he waved his arm to the left. The orb would slowly shift in shape, before two wings shot out of its size, a small head appearing on its front, with two small legs and tail feathers. It had taken the form of a small bird. "They're constructs, made out of the light I absorb. I change their size, shape, and density at will. If I can picture it in my head, I can make it." The bird would flap its wings, flying over to where Olive and their teacher was. It would fly above the teachers desk, before changing form again, this time reverting into a ball and then into a floating hand. It would grab one of Chiyokos pens from her desk, holding it in its hand before floating upwards again. "They're not just for show. My constructs have physical form." The hand flipped the pen between its fingers, before setting it back down where Hideki had found it. Then the hand would flatten out, and aim its palm towards the ceiling. "I can even focus the energy like a flashlight." The center of the hand would glow, and suddenly the ceiling would light up as if a flashlight was being shone on it, the light coming from the center of the floating hand Hideki had created. The light dimmed shortly after, before Hideki spoke again. [break][break] "I can maintain the construct for up to about ten meters. After that..." The construct began to slowly fade, as if it were turning into harmless, shining dust. But even that eventually vanished, returning to harmless light rays. After that, he'd bring his left hand back to his chest, crossing his arms. "I was born here in Tokyo. Lived here all my life. I want to be a Pro just like the rest of you, and help as many people I can. A simple goal, maybe. But I find keeping it simple works best." Of course Hideki had a drive to be strong. To be the best hero he could possibly be. But the most important thing was saving lives. Not his own ego.[break][break] [attr="class","manalishirnote"] [attr="class","manalishirnote1"]EXTRA NOTES [attr="class","manalishirnote2"] [attr="class","manalishirnote3"] [attr="class","manalishirnote4"] [attr="class","manalishirnote5"]

- are you strong enough to walk away? -
The class began sorting itself out into seats, as Olive did herself as well ignoring the harsh words of lesser classmates that knew not the value of her incredible abilities. They'd understand soon enough when the saw her shining over the battlefield, and when that time came she would crush the weak underfoot in her path to the #1 hero slot - as a true victor did. She finally found her way to a seat and listened through the introductions as they went through. The teacher was some old pro, no one worth remembering. She went on about "declaration of universal human rights" or some worthless crap like that but it was just something for the girl to glaze over as she focused into what really matters.
First, came the girl named Yumiko. A green haired lass. Lots of spunk. Not a bad classmate to have. Then came "Ryuzaki", a boy with a plasma quirk. A neat power to have but altogether it wasn't anything too spectacular in her eyes. Then was an artist, perhaps she could ask her to paint a portrait of her someday. The girl herself wasn't hard on the eyes but that didn't matter to much. Then the next in line was the boy with a warp quirk - a unique power with lots of battlefield applications. Useful. Then finally came the one that seemed to potentially intrigue her the most of her classmates, a boy with the power to generate light constructs. Unique she hadn't heard of such a quirk before but she respected it.
Finally, she stood up and presented herself in her full glory. Her wings were, alas, at this point put away. She looked towards the teacher with amber eyes that gleamed with ambition and pride. It wasn't hard to read what Olive was thinking or the person she viewed herself to be. She wasn't some talentless hack that spoke harsh words because she was lesser - no she was someone that knew that they were full of potential from the bottom up and wasn't willing to accept anything but the best for herself.
"My name is Tsubasa Olive, daughter of the late Pro-Hero 'Scissorwing', and the younger sister of his successor." She spoke with pride and honour in her voice, "I came to Shiketsu on recommendations after training with my father for years. My quirk gives me the power to create wings out of light and hover off the ground and make directional movements in the air. I can also create bursts and flashes of light at varying magnitudes in order to do things like illuminate a dark area or as bright as working as a makeshift flashbang."
