"I am all sweet and sugary just like all the girls!"

“O-oh! S-Sakura-sama is out today!” The young woman behind the counter was speaking nervously, “S-she will...u-uh...be in later.”
Hikari could hear the nervousness in the girl’s voice. It was with reason this evening.
If anyone knew the story about Sakura Sweets, the local Shinjuku Candy Store, they knew that it was one of the safest place for heroes and rogues alike to shop without fear. It was one of the havens of Tokyo where the law had little worry about considering one of the local heroes managed the shop for a slice of normalcy. On the other hand, it was also popular because the shop owner was almost notorious for her kindness...for the most part.
But Kotori Sakura, the Sweetest Hero, was not the only reason the woman was trembling.
“You are a s-student, right? J-just...remember to show me your I.D. before you leave for the usual discount, o-okay?”
The rabbit’s mouth hung lightly. The usual hesitation. “O-okay.” A simple response before sifting through the isles of the store as if the entirety of the goods were arranged by type. Lollipops and Licorice were on the left isles and red hot candies on the right. The many assortments were enough to make one’s head spin, but the rabbit had his favorites that would lead him to the back of the store: a treat that made the rabbit’s mouth open up as he would crack a weak smile that made others he would have pale in comparison.
“Mochi…”
The rabbit uttered this as the two front teeth from his mouth weekly hung open. He would close it before a moist droplet would escape from the corner of his mouth. His eyes would turn into a sea of blue before he regained his composure and stopped staring idly at the candy. Swallowing, he looked at the variant types of candy mochi that was packaged in small bundles that could have fit into one’s grasp. One was enough just to rejuvenate the little student.
“You and that candy should get a room, rabbit!”
Laughter and snickering would catch the young boy’s attention. His eyes would go over to a small collection of students that was within the store, just short down the aisle from him. His maw would twist into that judging one. The one that would show he was absolutely serious when he needed to be, just when it would be appropriate. “D-don’t cause trouble,” he swallowed trying to drown out the blazing fear within his chest. “N-not here…”
The number one rule of Sakura Sweets was that, and it was not just because it was a safe haven.
The group was rambunctious and loud: clothing in ribbons and taters on one who had a skullcap to cover pigments of green and purple messy hair to dropped to the shoulders. The other seemed to be wearing one of the local Shiketsu Academy hats in a slant with their black jacket open, and a few medals that were not regal. Some of them skulls made of a faux gold and others with sick and twisted faces and logos. The third, was just as messy as the first, not to mention as loud as she would gesture with glossy red nail while leaning on the well dressed female.
“Vamoose vermin, vamoose!”
Hikari would warrant their commands...for their sake.
The rabbit would be quite to pick one of the candied treats. A green mochi with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar and weaved with a pickled leaf gave that salty sweet taste that he loved! He would grasp it, but then there was time before he would have to take the train back to Musutafu.
Besides, candy was not the only reason he came to the shop…
The rabbit had come in his street clothing. The silken cloth that woven around his body was disheveled to limply move off his right shoulder due to his bag. As usual, he was wearing his black leggings that would be comfortable enough to adjust to his quirk’s augmentation of his lower body. His feet covered in loose socks and his toes could breath in his sandals that would weave around his feet. He would walk about the store carefully, his bag housing his precious book as he would take a glimpse over his shoulder once and again.
Perhaps he should check out the chocolate-coated raisins he heard so much about? Children loved raisins, right?
