"I don't see why you would even want to waste your time on an entrance exam my love. I would have already gotten you a full scholarship to U.A."
"I would just prefer to do things my own way mother. Unlike you I don't accept handouts." While she respected her mother, and didn't dare disrespect her, she certainly had no qualms to throwing slights at her.
Her mother looked at her and then sighed. "Very well. If you don't pass, if you'd still like to attend, I can pull some strings to still have you accepted."
"Thank you, mother."
There was a long pensive silence. "There's another thing, mother. I would like for you to make my quirk usable to two individuals for the examination."
Her mother looked at her like she was mad. "Our quirk has been passed down from generation to generation. Only the very worthy deserve to use that sword I bestowed upon you. Kings and Queens."
"I understand that, but I have my reasons."
"You know once I make someone worthy, I can't revoke that."
"With all due respect, that sounds like a personal problem, mother. Perhaps you should better master your abilities."
"Actually, it's your problem. The quirk is linked to you personally. Whoever I give permission to wield it has reigns over you."
"I'm aware."
Her mother started smiling. "Oh my gosh, is this over a boy. Did you find a boy you wish to share your quirk with. Did you two do it."
Mari sighed. "No, we didn't do it, mother. And actually there are two individuals I need you to make worthy."
"Two boys. I didn't think you had it in you my sweet," her mother teased. "Either way, very well, if you trust these two, then I will permit it I suppose."
"Thank you, mother."
"WOOOOOTTT!!"
Mari sighed at the loud cry of the male besides her. On either side of her stood, Garvin and Jasper, too Americans on a student trip to Japan. She had managed to convince them to take part in the entrance exam. Both were large guys, standing at 6'2" and 6'3" respectively. Neither had quirks, but she of course had her ways of getting around that little problem.
The small room they were in held at least five dozen children, all aspiring students of U.A. The entrance exam was the one opportunity most of them had at the opportunity to get a hero degree. She would have felt guilty depriving one of the students a chance to attend, since she already had a scholarship and didn't need to attend this exam, but if she passed, she was more than willing to grant the scholarship to a worthy student. It would be good for publicity at least.
The room went silent as a tall lanky man came onto the stage. The explanation of the Examination was made. She wasn't sure about the others, but Mari had done her homework. She knew all about the entrance exam. For someone who didn't like fighting, taking on these robots would be a problem, but of course that's what she had Garvin and Jasper for.
The two were busy talking and she place her finger to their lips to indicate them to be quiet.

Yuko let out an annoyed sigh, which had been building up for a while, as she listened to a few other teens chat about U.A. All of them were engrossed in their conversations with anticipation and a bit of anxiety. It didn’t take a very perspective person to see how excited everyone was. The life of a pro hero was one that many wish to pursue and there was no greater gateway than U.A. Surprisingly, Yuko wasn’t one of them.
It shouldn’t be unheard of for someone her age to not want dream of the hero life. There are many who have quirks unsuited for the task or are simply apathic to the whole idea. Those people usually end up as villains or just simply people, trying to live there life’s. It was unclear which of those Yuko was, given her bloodline.
Yuko was someone that didn’t want to try out of the hero course, but was sort of pressured into it by her aunt. The woman was too paranoid of her father influencing her. She hoped that her father would stop this, but it came as a shock when he didn’t. He even encouraged it by saying that it will offer Yuko a new perspective on society. It made her want to scream into a pillow, but her dad convinced her of it.
The rich girl found herself drifting in and out of focus. Unlike most, she researched what the exam would entitle and was fully prepared. It was a good thing that her quirk was combat based otherwise this would be a lot harder for her.

Pride would be his undoing: that is what his father's "associates" would say.
Perhaps other students would take the privilege: that success and connections would bring. Hikari, who was a withdrawn and meek little child would mostly go along with anything. However, when he would be brought into the office of the local private school that was paid with funds of the rich and famous, would ride a wave of excuses, and help him study with the finest tutors that unaccounted money would be; he would finally stand up for himself that day. It had probably be there all along, but it was not until that moment that the lavender haired bunny student would know for sure when he would answer the to the counselor's trusted alumni.
"No, thank you." A seething hatred reeling its head at the top of his tongue.
A father was kind, present, and did not try to buy one's affection with money. That is what Hikari believed, or culminated with those years of absence in his life. His mother would be the last voice who would ask him to consider his father's offer of a scholarship through his businesses, and with a smile no less. She was always smiling, as if she was fine with everything! Hikari did not understand any of it, but he knew that he desired his own way. After studying more times than humanly possible, drowning his sensitive hearing with headphones blaring notes from translated versions of "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" while eyes scanning theories from "Darwanism & Quirks," textbook; and occasionally lifting to peering at the notes of Battle Strategy and Psychology videos; Hikari knew he could find his own way to pass this exam.
Well...if it was WRITTEN!!!
"I-I did it again," his face twitching as he would hear the man describe the contents of the test, "I overthought things!"
Of course U.A. would test quirks and battle strategy somehow! After all, students were to be tested on their Quirk's abilities. The rabbit did not really care for being in a Hero Course or anything of that sort, but taking a class or two on top of Management was more or less a business move? Perhaps they seen that for him? Perhaps he had misread the situation with his mother? Perhaps his father was ri-
...ri-....wrong? Wrong! Yes! A man like that could never be right!
CLAP!!!!
Hikari's hands would slap his cheeks with both of his hands to snap himself out of his hesitation. His crystal blue orbs had a determined stare as he would slowly opening him. His cheeks flushed red noticing one or two students seeing him try to fire himself up, but he was a little too angry to care and not to mention in a bit of denial. He just had to destroy a robot, right? Perhaps the size of the machines were over inflated? Perhaps they were something small and he could take out with his signature kicks and take advantage of the notes he read on "You and Machines" which taught heroes common functions of mechanized enemies and their attack patterns?
That was all he had to do was destroy a robot, right? He had to just tell himself, in a low and quiet mutter...
"You got this!"
