Student Progression
The only progression that varies enough from other groups is that of students. Other ways we've seen this system handled in the past is... frustrating nonetheless. We want it to feel like your student years are filled with LOTS of fun stories and adventures but also don't like the thought of timegating progression like this.
You can start at any year!
So, our progression system is simple!
Every year you need to:
Complete X assignment threads assigned by a teacher character. [The X is the year your character is multiplied by 5]
Complete a number of Adventures equal to two times your year.
Complete a total of 2 x Year upgrades to your quirk or talents.
Once you meet those requirements you must:
Form a team with at least 2 other students that also meet these requirements
Inform a staff member that you want to do an exam to move forward.
You will be given a task and a period to complete that task that will be run by a staff member or a teacher.
If you pass:
You must complete a year-up arc, basically three simple threads about preparing for the next year and setting up some fun plots! This can be done both with other players that are moving forward or players that aren't. This can even be with people from other factions.
If you fail:
You complete the tasks for your year up again with all the requirements halved. They only halve once though.
Getting a Provisional License
We understand that some players want to try and get a provisional license in order to use their quirks for combat threads or get access to higher rank Adventures at an earlier point....
To Attempt an exam:
You need a team of at least 3 students that meet all other requirements which are
- Complete a minimum of two adventures, one of Difficulty II or higher
- Have at least a Rank III Quirk
- They must have 500 RP to spend in order to gain the license afterwards.
Once this has been done, you must contact a staff member to prepare a Provisional License exam that will be completed in three steps. If multiple teams are ready, they may be asked to go in one thread.
Upon completing this, you gain access to Difficulty III and Difficulty IV Adventures and the ability to use your quirk when acting as a Hero.
