Devices must contain a processing unit to be successfully controlled (i.e. computer, phone, and to an extent, smart cars, etc). Connection to a device requires focus. Once connected, the user is suspended in reality. It works in a manner that allows the user to slip out of consciousness. While connected to the device, the user can see the monitor as if they were right in front of it. Just like closing your eyes and picturing the screen of your computer, except you're able to control it. Depending on the device the user is currently accessing, the user can see the monitor and is able to move the cursor by thought. It acts basically like a virtual machine. Or, they could activate the webcam/camera and then see through that if it has that function. Once inside, the user can perform any function you would normally be able to on a computer/phone. quirk limitations & weaknesses • The user is unable to manipulate technology without processing units, things such as motored vehicles, firearms, etc. The user can only control one function at a time when using their quirk. So they are unable to simultaneously access the webcam and control the screen at the same time. In addition, the user would need to know the password to said device to be able to access it in the first place. While the user is able to move the cursor as fast as their mind could allow, the user can only type about 40wpm in VM mode. The device must have been touched physically by the user in the last 3 days. In the present, if the user is trying to access something they touched 2 days ago, then the connection is much weaker, and will cause quite a bit of lag/delay. The longer it has been, the shorter and more unstable the connection to the device is. The user must be in within a 1-mile radius of device to control it. If away from modern society, the user is basically useless. When using the quirk, the user is extremely vulnerable to the outside world around them. Activation of quirk causes them to basically fall unconscious. They must keep themselves hidden and away from danger as to avoid being ambushed. The user is not able to hear or see anything around them while connected. Damage to the device can cause mild headaches for the user, hindering their ability to fully control it. It varies in severity, depending on the extent of quirk usage in thread. Either causing the users brain to short circuit for the rest of the thread, or lose consciousness for five to ten minutes (2-3 posts). Full destruction of the processing unit inside of the controlled device would cause potential traumatic brain injury. Prolonged use of the headset can and has caused damage to the users vision. If the user attempts to use a device infected with a virus, or if a virus is uploaded into the device while connected, it inhibits the ability to maintain control.
