(I'm scared of needles, and hospitals.) overall personality • When you look at Raikan, he looks to be nothing more than a loud buffoon. Truly, a loud dumbass who couldn't score high on anything. But inside of his beating heart, is the desire to be a hero. The golden heart that burns with the fiery passion of masuclinity! He prefers actions over words, and punching over questions. But more than all of that, he's one of the most loyal people to ever meet. If ever you befriend yourself a Jaguarman, know that you've made a friend for the rest of your life. And if you betray him, he'll still give you a chance. He's almost naive in that way. While his heart pumps with the fire of his own passion, he does have a tendency to fly off the handle. Don't worry. That's just how Raikan is. He'll even order a giant meal in a restaurant, and not realize he can't eat it all. The inferno of hell itself erupting inside of a building. Fire born by rage engulfing the entirety of the estate. To whom the culprit? The alcoholic father, the sociopathic mother, the siblings he would neve rknow? It didn't matter... in another time, perhaps they would have been saved. The first thing Raikan remembered was being in the arms of a hero. A strong, manly hero, as he was put on a rescuing fire truck. The singular survivor of the entire building. However, no matter how hard he looked, he could never find the man. Some likened him to a guardian angel for Raikan. Raikan entered the orphanage when he was three years old. A few burn scars on his body, with his Quirk manifesting when he first would entered. His ears would move to the two feline-esque ones on the top of his head, and he would grow a tail from his back. And when he would enter this insane world of superpowered orphans... They called him a pussycat. Not in a good way either. Raikan was often bullied for how he closely resembled a cat. Admittedly, the first few years were rough. He didn't have many friends there, and it felt like once one bully was gone, another bully came to take their place. Needless to say, pussycat more focused on the prefix over the suffix. He couldn't do anything to fight back but take it. No parent wanted a cat boy. No one wished to adopt someone with such hideous burn scars. It was like clockwork. The shortest time for someone to be in that place was a week, tops. Adopted in no time. But Raikan had to keep eating the same slop, and sleep in the same bed in a hope to be given a home. Then he snapped. When it came to be his seventh birthday, something in him stopped holding him back. One of his fellow orphans pushed him into the wall, calling him the biggest pussycat he'd ever seen. The Werejaguar took over, and needless to say, that arm snapped like a twig. When the caretaker came into the room, there they saw the crying child with a broken arm, and triumphant little Raikan Nekozawa, laughing at the top of his lungs. With a higher tolerance for bullying, he still allowed the bully to swing with him on the old decrepid swingset by the orphanage. Bonds starting to form between him and some of the others. Things were going well, but unfortunately, Raikan never relapsed back into the wimpy little passive Raikan. Instead. It was that strong, boisterous, dumbass inside of him that got him to storm out of the orphanage by the time he was ten, where he would spend two weeks on the streets. Eating bread, and sleeping in boxes that were actually hilariously snuggly despite the fact he couldn't fit in them well. But in the end, he would nearly die of dehydration. No one to care for him. That's when Coach Sento found him in an alleyway. And when the young, Jaguar-Quirked boy awoke in a bed that was at least halfway comfy, he realized that he was somewhere safe. Inside the backroom of a boxing gym, Raikan Nekozawa met the old man with an extremely bushy moustache. There, he was given a chance. Becoming a student for boxing, Raikan would get free room and board if he did chores and learned how to box. The manly Jaguarman accepted, and was put through the hardest trials of his life; physical labor added onto physical training. Every day was filled to the brim with muscle-breaking physical training. Every night, he would clean the entirety of the gym; wax the floors, clean everything, and make it look presentable. It was a resentful few months, but once he got used to it, he only improved. Then came the day where Raikan was to leave the nest for U.A. To follow his dream. To find out who the masked hero was who saved him. And to become the very essence of manliness; to help others. Coach Sento didn't resent him. But as Raikan gave him a hug to thank him for everything, the jaguar boy could feel it somehow raining indoors atop his head. Then came his examination. And needless to say, he succeeded. the Quirk quirk's name • Werejaguar quirk's rank • II quirk's tier • I quirk's type • Transformation quirk description • Werejaguar is a Transformation and Mutation-based hybrid, leaning more towards the Transformation side. While it is true that he has the ears and tail of a jaguar, this however is merely the first parts of the Quirk. By utilizing the Transformation aspect, he can, in a way, bulk up by going Full Jaguar. This is accomplished by gaining a foot in height, as well as fifty pounds of raw muscles upon his form. The Quirk gives the following benefits: Improved hearing, an improved sense of smell, and a strength multiplier of five times what his base form can lift. This, added onto a bit of bulky endurance, and you have yourself Werejaguar in its entirety. quirk limitation • If we quantify how much Raikan can smell and hear, it would be about 1.50x more effective than his base form. His nose is pretty sensitive, and his ears, being atop his head, are also rather sensitive. He can hear whispers from a dozen feet away, but little else, and smell about the distance of a football field away. As for the strength multiplier, the multiplier can never be raised; BUT if he beefs up his base humanoid form, he can utilize the strength multiplier. At the current moment, he can lift about 120 lbs (in Werejaguar, this turns to 600 pounds; think of lifting a cow with a little trouble.) quirk weakness • Werejaguar has quite a few issues. To start off, the transformation cannot be constantly maintained. It works like a muscle; the more he puts into it, the longer he can go, but at its current max, he can maintain it for five posts in length. After which, he reverts, and cannot re-enter Werejaguar in the same thread. Adding onto this, there are some measures to combat Werejaguar. He becomes a wee bit dumber inside of his more primal state, which makes it hard to think straight in the transformed state. He cannot speak comprehensive sentences in Werejaguar, instead using guttural growls and basic sentences. The weaknesses don't end there; one of which sits in either state. Grabbing his tail will incapacitate him completely, immediately ending Werejaguar if in the state, and leaving Raikan completely vulnerable to a bruising. To give context, imagine if all of a sudden, his legs had the strength of paper mache. He immediately falls limp, paralyzed until the tail is released. Adding onto this, if one were to yell in his ear up close in Werejaguar's Transformed state, or say, create a terrible smell in front of him, it would disorient him, or have him gag. Aside from all of these, a cute bit of flavor is merely that he is sensitive just behind his ear. the Talents talent's name • Learned Boxer - Slugger talent's rank • II talent's tier • II talent description • Learning how to box allows for Raikan to, more or less, use his body as a weapon more in basic and Werejaguar state. It helps with keeping fit, and with strength training, as well as makes his punches hit harder.
