- I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy -
There were a million and two things that Olive was known for throughout the years, but perhaps the most infamous of them was her absolutely absurd ego. This mindset that she had that she simply was the best and that no one was capable of topping her no matter what they tried. She knew that she was from a pro hero’s family and that already was more than enough to push her to the top of the popularity ladder wherever she went. That being said that wasn’t nearly enough to sate her need to be recognized as something far superior to the lessers that surrounded her wherever she went. This ego was more than enough to grate on classmates and one such classmate would be surprised at his shoe locker on his way out of the academy that day to find a letter that simply had his name, a set of coordinates, and the phrase “I challenge you” written across it in clear English followed by it again in Japanese. Standing in the midst of the training field was a girl in her Shiketsu uniform, flowing white hair down to her waist, an appearance that was clean and pristine and a simple rapier in hand that gleamed with opportunity. She looked across the field with an anticipation that seemed to overflow from her. There was no need to be an empath to get an idea what her thought process was at this point. The girl stood there.
Just stood there.
Menacingly. The Spar of a lifetime begins

Oh boy. A challenge note with no name and a bunch of people claiming to have been the one to put the note in his locker. He was either going to look like an idiot or get into a fight. He wasn't sure why he was coming but at the same time a fight with another student would greatly help him hone his skill so... perks of it? Though he also had to be careful with his qurk. Plasma is hot as hell and the last thing he wanted was to hospitalize one of his classmates... if it was a classmate, he still wasn't entirely sure, though getting past school security was also a large unlikelyhood that was certainly not going to happen so he wasn't extremely concerned either.
He didn't take more than a few minutes after having gotten off the phone to reach the area the note specified. Arriving in his uniform with his sleeves rolled up so they wouldn't catch fire from his quirk should he need to use it. It was then he saw a white long-haired girl waiting with a fighting intent scrawled on her face and in her stance. Ryuzaki didn't need any words to know what that meant, he was TRAINED to know the meaning behind that. He got into a simple martial arts stance focused on counters and punches, his fists giving off a quick sparking burst of plasma from them as a sort of "I'm ready for you." His eyes locked onto Olive's, sure of himself and ready for a fight. "So. Olive-chan if I remember from our introductions. I suppose you didn't come out here to be let down did you? Let's go." he spoke, a clear fighting intent in his voice.

Her eyes locked onto Ryuzaki’s for a moment, maybe two as she processed the fact that he had actually shown up after all. It wasn’t super surprising but at the same time it still seemed to take her somewhat by surprise. After all, he didn’t seem like the type to come running to the first challenged issued. But still, Olive was glad to see that he wasn’t afraid of such a scenario. She smiled wryly before letting out a breath in preparation for what was to come.
“It took a bit to get the papers signed off on, but our spar is approved - even for the use of quirks.” She said before staring him down with an intense amber-eyed gaze. Her form was already glowing with a slight colour to it. There was very little that she didn’t expect but she began to already break down the tactics for this situation.
She had reach in the form of her saber, but he could tap into his quirk in order to snap back. Luckily, she also had mobility in the form of dashing side-to-side with her wings and that should give her a bit of an advantage. Sadly, her overall destructive force wasn’t going to be an equal match with his. There was no doubt, she couldn’t take nearly as many hits if she was going to be able to take this fight to its finale.
She placed her left foot behind her with an athletic bend before bending her right foot down a bit as well, Her sword was in front of her, the simple rapier had a practice and combat mode. Currently, as expected, it was in training mode. It wasn’t sharp but it would sting to get hit by for sure. The blade was pointed up from a few feet in front of her. Her right arm, the open one was bent back at the elbow and the hand that was presented just a few inches in front of her chest which was displayed perpendicularly to her opponent as to give as little of a target as possible.
“Well then, en guarde!”

She seemed ready to go the moment she pulled out a rapier. Huh. Well, he better go all out or else he might end up filled with holes from the pointy end of that. Though she had rapier training by the looks of it he had his own martial arts training and he had minor training in free-running giving him a means to keep his ground in terms of mobility and close combat, however he was going to be smart about this. Realistically, she had to get close to use her rapier and though he had no idea yet what her quirk was he figured it'd relate in some regard to close quarters combat by her usage of a rapier and her fighting stance, though dangerous to make that assumption that was his best bet. However, his quirk had range to it. He knew that. So his main focus for fighting someone like how she appeared to be was going to be a game of ranged tactics.
When Olive mentioned that she got the fight cleared with the school he nodded. "I'd assume so. We'd be in a lot of trouble otherwise." He responded, his stance shifting slightly as he wasn't sure if she was going to take the first blow or if it was all on him to get them started. He took the chance to get this started, sticking with this plan and not rushing her yet. He held out his hand and as soon as he did a ball of plasma formed in his hand roughly the size of a small baseball and he chucked it at her hard, he wasn't expecting it to hit. An attack this obvious hitting wouldn't be bright. No, he was expecting that she'd either attempt to twirl around the attack and give a jab with that sharp rapier which he could potentially punish if he moved fast enough or for her to jump up above it in which case she can't dodge a fast burst of plasma when she's in the air unless her quirk were made for something like that...

The boy in front of her appeared to be a trained martial artist, meaning that if she wasn't careful with how she approached the next few choices she made he could potentially end this fight in no time. She rushed towards the blast he fired, twirling - as he expected - just before the hit to swerve just right of the incoming projectile. However, the plan she had meant something much more interesting. She kept her rapier pulled back in her dominant and extended her right hand forward towards him as if trying to grab for him but that wasn't the plan.
Her goal was to illicit a defensive response to the hand, a natural thing when one is unaware of the capabilities of the opponent but instead of doing anything specific with it she would prepare a jab with the rapier towards his lower abdomen. If he didn't seem to respond to her hand, she would adjust this strategy slightly and instead let loose a bright light from the outstretched hand (again, this would only be done if he ignored it initially) to serve again as a distraction to pull him off from his defensive stance. She didn't intend to ever get close enough to be within arms reach, and would use her rapier's superior reach to inflict the damage she needed to. it wouldn't cut the skin but it wasn't going to be without force behind it!

Well, his estimate was half right, half was better than nothing right? She was quickly closing distance to an extent while not necessarily getting within punching distance which, while giving her a good chance to get in a jab with that pointy thing also was beneficial for step two of Ryuzaki's plan. Quickly as soon as she came he noticed the hand and he did have a defensive response to it, though likely not the response she was expecting. She was mildly effective in striking him as it did whack him with the rather loud sound of the blunt end of a rapier smacking against his flesh and he let out a grunt of pain. This however was just what he needed to punish her.
His response to her attack? Simple, after the quick whack he lunged forward, gave a quick handswipe against the back of the blade to try to knock it aside should she aim to lift it as he jumped forward and then he made it look like he was going for a disarm, aiming to grab at her arm after the singular whap of the rapier and quickly twist, however he couldn't care less about doing that as he'd only go for the full disarm if it was actually successful. His real plan which he'd utilize regardless since she'd gotten so close was to push out a quick but still very much blazing hot burst of plasma in front of her to either force her to distance or make her get burned, either or worked for him. He didn't need distance or closeness to do his best work, though distance in this fight did make a mild advantage for him it was also kinda less fun.
